Yah that was an awesome day! Pretty sure there was only a handful of boats ever to run that if any! It was like a go cart track the whole day!

Boating on upper red deer today stopped close to Garrington bridge for a break and much to my surprise the park rangers popped out of the bush. We were parked, out of boat having lunch and a beer, got read the act a little bit. Had to show boat safety stuff and boating license, couple of pretty decent guys they could have ticketed us for the beer and for booze in boat, we aren’t heavy boat beer crew usually couple is all but still a no no useless you are camping. No tickets and no questions about not having transport Canada license numbers on the boat.

Boys, last night coming back up the wapati I found a sand bar. That is an experience I must say. If anyone knows the wapati, I was on the west side of the train bridge. Stay to the left. Haaaard left. Coming back up. I zigged when I should have zagged. No one was hurt and I was able to get the boat off the sand. Took me about 15 mins. My 12 degree will not run in 3” of water lol. The river is still dirty enough that I did not see it. I did have my gorpro on so I will see what I can come up with for a video. The sun was still high so there was a glare but I’m not sure I would have seen it otherwise. I didn’t see it going down either. All in all it was a great day.

Cheers. IMG_1528.jpg IMG_1527.jpg IMG_1577.jpg

How did it work?

It worked phenomenal Neil!!!!!! Boat never moved an inch once it hit the bottom. Used it 4 times that weekend. Really impressed with it.

The only thing I might add to it is some sort of stick on rubber on the bottom side so it doesn’t scratch up my bow

Good to here! Wrap a pool noodle around the bottom?
