Norona said lots about how the 850 ran and was tested for 3 years during snowcheck time last spring... then comes on here all ****ing winter saying the majority of people don't have problems is bull****. A post on this forum by him is no different than a paid skidoo advertisement on the sidebar.

Yea.. He doesn't sit and flame the company that puts food on his table. What an A$$hole. Norona has a passion for the brand but most importantly the SPORT.. And he does a LOT for it.. More than you will ever know.

-Regardless of how smart you THINK you are... It was. They are always way farther ahead than anybody knows with testing.. And most people that live in the real world that have anything to do with sledding are well aware of that... And know WHERE they test them.

-Also true. Is there problems? Of course there is issues. But people are much more likely to complain about something that breaks than compliment something they dont have a problem with.. Hence... SNOW AND MUD! I had two out of 50 customers that had issues with their belts.. Thats actually less than usual! And bulkheads? Are they breaking fast than an XM? Yes.... Would your xm bulkhead be bent to the point it would need to be changed anyways? ALSO YES. I see this stuff first hand... and they just AREN'T coming back... So I don't know what to tell you... My customers are all happy! As well as most of the rest of them.

BRP said they are going to get the people that are having problems looked after. So stop FLAMING everyone and anything that has anything to do with BRP. Lots people like what he does.. And just because YOU prefer other peoples opinions over his.. Doesn't mean you should follow him around throwing tomatoes at him every time he speaks. Having people on snow and mud that have the ability to get their hands on products BEFORE the consumer and give people sneak peeks and some real life footage of them is a benefit you SHOULDN'T be trying to get rid of.

I keep hereing in hot tub the majority of G4's don't have problems. I don't know anyone that's not having problems myself and buddies included. I most say that ski-doo doesn't live up to their promises and what they advertised about the G4 is falsoe. I understand why people are upset and I am too. I hope nobody myself included buys a first year sled even if they promise the moon.

Adjusting your sled for the type of riding to lower belt temps will go a long way. Then you can be part of those who have less problems. See your favorite tuner to help.

Pretty good of BRP to come on a website like this that represents almost NOTHING in the market, Make a profile and start talking to people directly and helping them solve problems/ assuring them they will be looked after. Sounds like a company that doesn't live up to their promises to me. Correct me if im wrong buy I dont remember any of the other brands doing anything like that.

That question's response is yet to be seen on the other thread.
Dealers are working with customers for sure and I have been getting some help but to date BRP has closed the door on bulkheads and any type of clutching help to almost everyone who has issues.

Many of us are waiting for the next reply to the latest request for answers on the BRPcares thread that got cleaned.
BRP has made promises but nobody knows what that promise will be and how much that promise will cost owners in the end.
If is just a parts scam like the bulkhead brace and template...............no thanks!

BRP visits their thread regularly as proven by their last post's quick response.......they need to provide more info on what that promise really holds!
By what "has been done " it is a pretty shallow promise.

That is great of them and yes no other manufacturer has done that. However it still doesn't help anyone with issues. These people want money,belts, and a solution and i dont blame them. To correct you BRP has NOT assured any 2017 owners they will be looked after they have said they are looking into solutions and you can bet not everyone is going to be "looked after". Do you think Bobby Joe who blew 9 belts is going to get 1200$ cheque in the mail? not likely. No amount of social media posts is going to change their attitude towards the product. It might calm them down for the rest of the season until BRP finalizes a solution but thats it. It is wrong of them to condemn Dave for any of this. He works with skidoo and tells us everything he can when he can and to be honest dave does an amazing job at what he does. The videos he puts together for us in a short amount of time are great. I was cursing in the garage trying to remove a G4 hood and the first video that came up was daves tutorial on how to do so and it was done well. This is what he excels at. he is not a BRP engineer and does not always have the answers everyone is going to want. However you can be sure he will provide them as soon as he can.

Yea I agree... However I probably wouldn't but "Turning down" offers if BRP came out and said here is a bulkhead brace. They HAVE assured people that they are going to look after the people that have been having problems. But I agree they HAVEN'T said what they are going to do and I can see how that can still have people on edge. That being said I think the main reason they haven't said exactly what they are going to do for people.. Is because they do not have a 100% solution yet.. And you can bet they aren't going to half ass it and they are doing everything they can to make sure everything is tickety boo before they pull the trigger.

My post is pretty clear.

Spent some time in the hills last weekend with Ken from Mountain Magic and his brace will be ready in two weeks - supposedly much stronger. My coin will go to MM before it ever goes to the peps that created the problem.
If BRP expects me to pay for clutch parts there will be a Polaris primary on my sled in short order also.

Fair question by you also.
IF BRP expects more money from me for their problems it ain't gonna happen!
And I will repeatedly post those options.

T Parts and fix are fine but the 17 owners should not be forking over and endless supply of cash for the sled's shortcomings. These should be free issue! And I requested that thread get cleaned up.....BRP does not need to read garbage. My post is pretty clear. I really hope and I doubt that thats going to happen but I guess time will tell. But yea the one thing we dont need is BRP coming on here trying to do something positive and work with people....and fall into a trollfest.. They are making a effort.. They dont know what this site can turn into lol

Agree to disagree. Guys like Dave annoy the piss out of me. Its their job to convince you to spend your hard earned money. Doesnt matter if its on a pile of crap....doesnt matter to them. They still get their paycheck, or free stuff. I come on social media to get opinions from guys like jhurkot, lilduke, and Rene St Onge. They know their equipment, can ride, and most importantly.....arent afraid to give an honest opinion about something if it isnt working.

Sounds like more your issue....please post where I have ever said you need such and such a sled or part. My job is to have fun, ride and have fun, test and have fun, show the newest products and have fun, give an honest opinion and have fun, do dealer rides and have fun, do sled shows-spring shows and create vids and have FUN! Please show me any post where I have not done this. I know you are probably a grown human being so it should not be hard to figure out that you get to spend all your hard earned dollars they way YOU want. I don't care what you ride, where you ride or how you ride, as long as you are having a blast with your buddies. Sorry that you seem to have lost this...I hope you figure it out, there are lots of places that can help you get back on track. Ask anyone in their 90's and they will tell you, have more fun in your life and chill out and enjoy it. I am lucky that I learned that when I was 18, which is why I have the job I have today. have a great one! Oh yeah if I annoy you so much why do even come on any post that I put up....it seems like you would be disappointed no matter what so just bypass all my stuff in the future, so easy!

I use to log in to this site often and enjoy reading different threads about the sport i love the most. But this season snow and mud has been plagued by cry babies that have too much time on there hands. Hopefully next season these babies can grow up!! Dave keep up the good work, i like and watch all your youtube vids.

Well, I happen to be one that hasnt had any problems with mine. I have hit things under the snow, even at the dreaded 30-50 degree angle, and no broken bulkhead. I did blow a belt at 650km, but i geared it down and now I have over 2000km on the new belt and it looks great. I have only adjusted the belt deflection once since I put it on.

I will admit the clutching isnt spot on. It can be better. I have added weight to the primary, but instead of changing springs, my mechanic (a good one), suggested a multi angle helix instead. I will try it and see how it goes.

I know I am not the only one out there not having problems.

On the bold, that sounds a little sketchy to me. I would be interested to know if your "good mechanic" can explain the role of the Cam/Helix. It is easy to tell one person how you believe clutching works, but a whole other game to go on a public forum with your explanation attached to their handle name.

The number of times I have seen a Clutching Professional post an explanation of the Cam on a public forum was rare, let alone the Spring.
