The price we play for new sleds(all brands) things like this should be stock items. Just like that stupid mounting plate for the seat bag on the G4s. Charge a guy an extra $40 for it! It's robbery in the accessories market!

like my front end brace templet, I paid good money for that piece of paper, just to install the brace that brp wouldn't cover either lol

One thing we learned from the M-chassis/rev chassis (2004/2005) was not to put intake filters facing forwards.

Or put them on the side. The G4 is better than the XM, but still find that they are in a vulnerable spot on the G4. Cat and Poo both have the intakes located in decent spots, facing the rider, that you can easily brush away snow when they get plugged.

Why doesn't skidoo come with This stock?

I heard that boost-it did some testing with these last year and they couldn't get enough air through them for a turbo application. The thicker screens are more restrictive. Probably not something you'd every notice for a naturally aspirated engine but too restrictive for boost.

You don't need it, so like i said it is better to have the sled cost less, and if you want it, you buy it, one thing on the seat bag, is you might not want it either, the engineers spent a lot of time making the seat small so your foot can go around the back super easy, then you go an stick a big bag there, trust me, get the link tunnel bag. There I just saved you money. ;) :beer:

I get what you're saying there Dave, it would just be nice if for something like that seat bag, they don't charge you the extra $40 for a piece of plastic. Include it with the bag

I think that BRP has the best accessories catalogue/scam going in any industry.........PERIOD!
It is soooo good it pays for guys like Dave and even keeps BRP from requiring continuous bailouts like their inbred cousins.

Looking for peoples feedback who actually used these last winter as I have some small holes in my stock vents from branches. Should I go stock again or heavy duty? Someone commented earlier about starving the sled for air, is that only an issue for a turbo?

We used them on the rentals at mountain park when the stock ones got wrecked

They can still rip-break but definitely was way harder to do

Wished doo came out with xm ones cause they are a pain to change compared to a 850

Used them right from the get go last year,,, ( went through lots of xm ones)) the heavy duty 850 ones held up great.
