Summit 850 keeps beeping 'check key' when I start the sled in the mornings . Even after changing to the spare tether and restarting.Once it fully warms up ,it's all good. No power accessories on the sled. I find out that there is a service bulletin about this RF interference and should install a ferrite magnet from BRP.. Dealer says this is not covered by warranty ? WTF! Seems like our S+M Edmonton Salesman is no longer with them, and no longer get any discount on parts either.

I have one of those magnet things on my 2015 it came already installed on the machine when I bought it(right hand side above oil tank). When I bought my riser bag and installed the warmer that came with it,.. it recommended I install the magnet but I already had it.

So im reading this as an intermittent inoperable key is not covered under warranty? Another wear part? Maybe try giving a different dealership a call.

I picked up a ferrite kit to stop this happening on my 17 G4. Problem is the kit is for the XM sleds and the plugs are different. Does anyone know how they have been retrofitting them to the G4's? Is there a different ferrite kit?

Kelly briggs and Davis Spratt are on the south side! They are both awesome guys to deal with. Either one of them would gladly take the time to help you guys out.

....NEW career?

Curtis was definitely great at what he did.. Chris parsons has a passion for Motorsports stuff like you wouldn’t believe. That place will keep moving forward! Big things in store for them for sure. It was just time for me to move on! My dad has been wanting me to go into business with him for a long time so right now I’m just in the process of getting my real estate license and hopefully the farm and acreage thing will come just as natural to me as snowmobiles!

Thanks man! I’m excited. Should free up some more time for sledding and stuff and hopefully now that I don’t have to deal with issues like the one posted here.. and having everyone hold me personally responsible for them... I’ll go back to actually enjoying snowmobiling and talking about sleds lol

Is this why we don't hear much from Maxwell anymore - he's sunk into a deep state of depression?
