So just wondering what guys are paying for extending there warranty ? I currently have a 2018 mountian cat with 600 kms that I bought last year so it only came with 1 year, so to extend it for 2 more years is $1680 tax in, is that not bad price ? I thought its pretty reasonable, now is it worth it? not sure because I only put on 500-700 kms a year so I would still be under 2000 kms in two years anyway!

New engine list price is $3850.

Roll the dice.

You can get new engines for under $3k if you shop around.

Cat care sucks.

I thought Cat engines were the bestest!! They are the bomb and have been for years!

Lol I like to think they are the bomb but it is a 2 stroke there all ticking time bombs, I think as long as u seal up the crappy air intake design I probably be ok !

I seem to remember one of your recent sleds got a new set of lungs......

Awe, give the BRP crowd a little bit of slack....they've been gettin' beat up with the crap doo's been supplying them over the last few years...going broke from buying belts, POS clutches and scared of not knowing when the glass front frame is going to fail......... and then the lack of support from mother corp...Quebec based BRP has pushed a few over the edge, they are in need to deflect their pain and misery........so let them doo their thing...when they see a weakness, they love to pounce on it and flog the issue and deflect their pain. So, as long as they are able to point out the deficiencies of the competition, it helps them forget of the real life short-comings of their world.

And regarding the "Cat Flop" ....which it really isn't...but what else would you really expect to come from the OP?...he's a major ****-disturber and that is what makes his posts entertaining....lol. This release is far from a flop. Cat has brought a complete new engine to the market along with a new platform that is filling a long time void. That is exciting for a lot of people who want to include younger crowd in their riding. Sure, it didn't add much to the big boy mountain segment but what they got is currently meeting or beating the current competition for the most part. 850 engine?...oh well, I think that might be a while (maybe never) before Cat has one but the 800 is holding it's own quite well with the competitor's 850's. Factory turbo?....we can always dream. You can't please everybody all the time. Does Cat have a perfect sled? Not quite....lol. Are there things that have room for improvement? Sure. What about the other guys....any need for improvements of their platforms, engines, clutches, suspensions? Hell Yah...there are hundreds of posts over the last few years. So, give them a break, let them deflect for a while....they NEED this.

Cheers!

lol......

Sorry man but honestly I think warranty is a waste of money period. You just gave away 1680 bucks! I love that cat has dropped to one year and handed the savings over to people like me. More cash for trip, mods or yes maybe having to fix something. I'm willing to take that chance.

If you looked at the pricing latley I don't think there is anything being passed on........

And now you only get 1 year warranty.
