When we went on the power tour could have swore we begged for a 174. They must have heard " one for my herd" and built a 200 for my kids. Must remember to speak clearer next year.

Well done Cat! This demographic has been long overdue in my opinion in this sport for to long. Sledding is a family sport and it's hard to get kids into a sport without a snowmobile that fits there needs. Hopefully this will light a fire under the other manufacturers to follow suit.

Starting early typically creates brand loyalty and translates into later sales as the kids grow with the sport. No brainer and a good move to fill a growing market IMO

Saw an '18 800 on the hill on Saturday. I'm want to see manufacturers put tethers on stock instead of as an accessory. Engine break in can be quick without one

Spoke with a factory guy about this earlier this year. Interesting response - "Manufacturer does not want to put the tether on as they don't want to assume the risk and liability in case it doesn't work as intended." Interesting angle.

Yet they have been putting them on HCR's since 09

Seems like the mountain cat replaced HCR and no more limited m series, disappointed as well on the boards and the handlebars, however I will be snow checking a mountain cat , 18 will be a good year, HCR is for sale lol

Spent a brief time on the '18 as well. Best Cat I've ridden since 2013. One thing that stuck out was how smooth it transitions from nuetral to being on edge, to back again. It literally took 15 seconds to become comfortable on it. Clutch engagement is also worth mentioning. Ease of opening panels was pretty cool too- as was overall fit'n'finish.

Well done Cat, you've come a long ways. Of the other manufactures, I'd say yous guys have listened the most to the faithful 2 stroke guys!

I'm curious as to why guys are so hung up on the 174"s though. The 162 3" seems to work so well. And I've yet to see a 170" anything, do anything in the terrain we ride, that a 162 can't. The same can be said for turbos though, but that's wayyyyyy off topic.

Of all the improvements they could do, I wouldn't think a longer track would be near the top of the list. Like the ****ing controls. Clean up the handle bars.
