Anyone have reliable upgrades to the headlights on 2018 gmc trucks? I find the stock terribly inadequate.

HD or Halfton ? If HD I thought they upgraded them in 17 to a HID bulb that was supposed to help out a fair bit.

If not try these....

I run the Chevy version of this kit in my 15 halfton and it amazing the light coverage and output that comes out the front of my truck.

It is a bit of a project though, I'm pretty sure you either have to split the headlight on the GM's or cut the back off to change out the lense assembly in there.

Really boggles my mind with the cost of these trucks and how ****ty the lighting is in them.

By "****ty" do you mean legal?
And by "amazing" do you mean illegal?

Haha by ****ty I mean barely passing the minimum requirements, there was service bulletins for the 14 and 15 GM's to up the wattage on the lights and change out to a different bulb. Chevys were a a bit better due to still having 4 lights when on high beam.

and by amazing I mean the DOT bi-zenon lenses that are in truck now give me a high/low beam in the factory low beam position, and when I turn on the high beams the lower high beams also come on while the low beams turn into high beams with a shutter in the lense housing. I've yet to come across a light bar that will cover the same amount in high beam mode.

The only thing offending the law is that my fog light dont turn off when in high beam mode.

Mine are pretty good, I bought and installed a 32” light bar when I got the truck, and while it throws more light, the stick high beams reach just a bit further. This is on a 2016 2500 with stock LED’s

Hmm dunno maybe mine aren’t adjusted well... I called the dealer and that update was for 2015.

Have a 2017 Denali 1/2 ton and drivers side has a terrible black spot at about 11 oclock at cut off line.
Took it to dealer and said nothing to be done . “Naturally “
Seems like that light needs to be turned in but no adjustment for that.
Lights aren’t even close to the 1/2 ton 2016 Ford with LED headlights stock.

I look forward to and encourage the authorities to aggressively enforce the existing head light laws. I suggest the fine should be minimum $1000 first offense , $2000 second , etc. And I hate rules, but some of you guys have no common sense regarding oncoming traffic.

How did anybody every survive back in the day of the square body Chev's with just basic halogens......no travel at night or slowed down.
