Did you sell your cat? what did you think of it? Have you ridden a 850 ski doo? I need to make a choice and am finding it very hard , The weight of the cat , The skidoo glitches, man it's tough.
Weight of the extra fuel in the Cat?

hows this....I’ll load up an ‘18 Cat 163x3 c/w Turbo 250ish hp, a 2018 Axys 163x3 c/w Turbo 220/230hp and a 2019 G4 c/w Turbo and 220/230hp. You can go ride em and then cut me a check for the one you like best! 😎ðŸ‘ðŸ˜
Don't tempt me with a good time.

We ran into Dave on the hill last year with your Turbo . She definetly hauled the mail.

No didn’t sell and decided not to, am going to be riding this year after all. Only experience with an 850 was a short ride on a buddy’s sled, felt weird to me with the steering and floppy rear, but I am sure you could get used to it. I just see no reason to change, Cat works great, I am used to it’s riding style, haven’t had any issues with it, and although I am sure the belt issues on the Doo are overblown, it is obvious they do exist on enough sleds that I wouldn’t think of trying one out for a season until they figure out what is going on instead of just applying bandaids. As for the weight, I doubt there is any significant difference once you are on the snow, I have noticed that the Doos I have ridden with definitely carry more snow in the tunnel than the Cat does.

Thanks for the info. Have you ever had a problem keeping it cool on trails ? The single front cooler seems like it wouldn't be enough. I had a 2015 T3 and had to add extra scratchers to keep it cool.

Cats have been like that since the 2013 limited m8, so its not exactly like they just went to that. Ive had 4 different ones of all varying size tracks ( 14 162x2.6, 14 156x3, 15 153x2.6 and an 18 153x3") and never once had an issue staying cool on the trails. As long as the one set of scratchers are down they work just fine

Lots of guys run without snowflaps and don't have any problems.

But I don’t think anyone likes being smashed in the face with 2 chunks of hard snow...

That’s their problem lol, snowflaps are like trailering arms, gone the way of the dinosaurs , who needs em

Ok cool guy, next time my kid gets a chunk to the face by some highlight like you that’s doing mock chicken past a 200cc sled sure hope you have good dental insurance...don’t be that cool guy that acts like his sh*t don’t stink and you paid your $25 so get outta my way and funk the rules and amicable features off respect to fellow riders. Yeah yeah whatever scratchers but it also serves another purpose. Get some brains and think about it before you shoot your trap off.

First of all bud, you have no god damn idea who I am so how about you stop shooting your trap off, itll definitely be in your best interest. Second of all I am probably one the most respectful trail riders your gonna see, I pass like a sane person, dont burn half my tank just getting to the alpine and follow and respect all rules of a trail. Third of all yes I have some of the best dental coverage money can buy so spout off to someone else who you may have a chance against. Been running no snowflap for the last 8 years and never had one complaint from a dickhead like you, not once. I ride our club rally every year we have snow, around kids on sleds a fair bit and never once had someone complain. And just so you know if your thinking you can knock my teeth out its all a dream you had after I choked you unconscious in under a minute. Owner of an 850 for like a month and already went straight clown

I said: I don’t think anyone like getting smashed in the face by a 2” chunk of snow

You said: That’s their problem lol, snowflaps are like trailering arms, gone the way of the dinosaurs , who needs em

Your reply directly indicates that you don’t care about people getting smashed in the face, actually you laughed and said that’s their problem. You obviously were not thinking that there could be different demographics of people and ages riding the same areas and trails your brain automatically went into the stage of you getting picked on, singled out or having a finger pointed at you by me.

As you thought it was funny that people get smashed in the face, I put you into the ass clown cool guy club, as I didn’t find that very humorous. I was saying not to act like that cool guy because of YOUR comment and remark.

Now you have come back at me with calling me a dickhead with choking me out and all this stereotypical crap about what sled I own, which I don’t understand how that has any bearing on any of this at all, but that’s your opinion.

If you think this through, you could have simply stated that your not that guy, referenced some of the happy things that you stated and this would be all done and over by now.

I really don’t give two chits what you say to me, but when it comes to my kids that’s off limits. They have as much right to be out there riding as anyone else does, and ore times than I can count they have been cut off, roosted and had there knuckles almost busted, not so fun when you’re 6 years old.

Really think about it from this perspective, it might make more sense to you, and clarify some statements.

No you came right out and threatened me with knocking my teeth out without knowing f*ck all about the comment or asking If I was referencing all people on the trail, kids or my riding group. Last guy who threatened me with punching my teeth out went to sleep, and when he woke he took another shot at the title and ate through a straw for a couple months. I respect all people on the trail and pass like a white man, my riding partners pretty much all have no snow flaps, if they get to close that’s their problem and same goes for me. The guy who can ride a cat with a stock bumper and snowflap is the guy who never leaves the cabin, you ever try and grab that bumper through two tiny holes full of ice? Not fun. If you thought it through you could of said I hope your not referencing all others and kids on the trail being their problem. And I simply would of said of course not, but you came in big dick swinging trying to be cool in front of your S&M bros, I get it they make you feel cool it’s all good

Ok I get it...you’re the choke out chief.

I don’t care about the structure of your comment as you didn’t clarify, you laughed at people getting smacked in the face with chunks of snow...I don’t think it’s funny. If that makes me a Doo Rid’in dickhead then I’m good with that.

Holy crap I have ridden with a snow flap for 40 years . I can't wait to put my next 30,000 km away from the cabin. All I needed was someone smarter than me to tell me what to do.

Go reef on a cat bumper trenched in between two trees deep down in the bush in spring snow and tell me how fun it is to try and pull that bumper up or back down the hill with the two fingers you can grab it with
