Apparently the best snow is still up Renshaw, Lucielle is getting a little tracked up and assuming Belle also. Not a lot of people there lately because they just had the woman’s bonspiel and men’s hockey tourney last weekend so not a lot of rooms were available. And of course cold temps keep things slow.

Darwin will take these guys out of the gene pool soon enough.
Some never learn.
Their outdoor survival skills must be improving.

Rode Belle today

Fairly tracked out uptop.
1st two meadows were tracked out. All others untouched. So we chewed them up.
Trail by fools canyon untouched as well.
Was a great day.

C.O. was in the parking lot on the way down. Shot the chite with him for a bit. Then loaded up and headed down

Rode Renshaw yesterday and today. Wolverine yesterday and we pretty much had it to ourselves. Conditions were great. Dropped over the ladder today. Lot of untracked snow to be found. Decided to climb out the up and over due to the hard wind lip at the last drop befor the ladder.Trail condition was excellent. All in all an excellent weekend. BTW CO and RCMP are checking for registration and Plates as well as drivers licences. They were pretty good to my group but I heard other people growling about their presence. And yes SAR did find the two that spent the night at The Renshaw.RCMP we talked to this morning said that these same two individuals had SAR rescue them in Golden last year.

Pretty chilly for a night over at Renshaw last evening......might help them learn a lesson.
Lucky they didn't run into the big black wolf we saw roaming Renshaw last month or the gene pool would have been cleaned up a little quicker :)

Any info on why they spent the night? Just lost?

And this was their second time being rescued?
Are there fines associated with this?

Back up Renshaw for a third day of great snow!! Made a loop from cabin thru Ant Hills. Ant Hills was tracked and wind effected. But we found the goods before that. There are lots of tracks but snow still crisp, plus the farther areas are still holding good snow!! Heard those fellows were snookered out in the Chalco area maybe trying to get out thru the Holmes!! Glad they’re safe!!.jpg[/IMG]

How cranky will the CO/RCMP be if I have my girlfriends sled with me but she won’t be ther. She’s letting a friend of mine borrow it for our trip there this week. Will have insurance and registration....but she won’t be with us.

Shouldn't be an issue.
As long as you have your paperwork

maybe if the son saw how devistated the parents were when the chopper landed they might choose to make better choices. We saw new tracks going west of spirit lake yesterday. I’m not sure the name of creek that starts with “C”. That might have been their route. Glad they made it out .
