I hope they come out with a 2 stroke cuz if they don't I think they will be by by in a few years! I see less and less yamys every year! Not sure what you could do to a 4 stroke to make it hat much better! Don't think even a factory turbo will change anything!

I've been loyal to Yamaha.... But the new 850 skidoo has my attention. If Yamaha expects to be in this game it will have to be = or greater than the new Doo.

I feel bad for them at the shows. Like 5 people in their booth and the doo and polaris booths packed.

Why would yamaha want a piece of Etech crap? Yamaha builds engines that last more than a couple of years! They are heading in the right direction especially if they just take weight off it till it bends or breaks like the 2 lightest ones out there. People are willing to live with broken and unreliable so long as it's light.

Most people i know own sleds 2-3 years... I personally had a sled with 5000 miles and no issues and it was a dinosaur vs the newer ones in my group.

If the same group that builds Yz250 motors built 900cc 2smoke sled motors and put them in a pure Yamaha frame I could switch. Every Yamaha bike/quad/sled I have owned has been a total champ!

I forsee snowmobiles to morph into a more snowbike like machine, which is all good for everybody.

Blue yamacat

too bad....another fail by Yamaha...Might as well team with the chinese company Gio next for their ATV's too...after all they are on the same level as Cat....so basically a cat with new colors and a yamaha decal.

Wow, lots of haters that know absolutely nothing about what anyone is bringing to the table for 2017, other then ski-doo which has already been released. Or perhaps I'm wrong, and the comments are being made by riders who have spent the past season test riding prototypes from all of the manufacturers...

Waiting to see what is to come March 1st, hopefully it is good. And my sled that nobody wants still out does the others in the steep and deep. Harder to ride yes but way more giggle factor than any other sled I have rode. Really I don't care what you ride just ride!!! Hater will always be hating

I bought my first Yamaha back in 1984, it was a Phazer. Rode Yamaha's till 1991 when i got back into Arctic Cats. Before 84 i rode A/C, but in 1981 Cat went belly up, tits up what ever.....and there was no 82-83 models to be had.
So i rode Yamaha and over 95% of the terrain you kids enjoy today, atleast in the Revy Sicamous including the Icefields areas were first ever entered into by Yamaha's.
I believe in 4 stroke durability and power for big mountain's and believe Yamaha can deliver a sled that will satisfy, maybe not the general crowd but the more experience backcountry rider and 2017 is suppose to be the year..i hope.
Otherwise i might have to go back to my old time fav. Arctic Cat.

Hater's are usually the ones that have either NEVER ridin or have spent 20min. riding something that they already HATE.
Hater's also attain 99% of there knowledge from "hear say" or forum's. AND...
Hater's probably can hardly handle what they already have. So what would you expect from a hater.
