Pretty sure Dave norona said that the 174 couldn't touch the line the 165 laid down when they were out riding them. Up hill deep pow pull
That was from video he did at the unveil

Maybe true but means nothing .
Xm verse the new rev .
Put the 174 on the new sled with 850 motor and off you go again ? Correct ?
Also the only way I would believe Dave Norona is if I was 160 lbs and 5 foot 6 inches tall. Lol
He is awesome but remember apples to apples.

U guys who wish they got rid of the chain case are not hard riders! I have a 13 with belt drive and it is a pos. Replaced that Dame thing twice this year. The last time it simply melted down. So unless u stop and talk about sledding every 2 min instead of actually riding. the belt drive is stupid and does not work well for ppl who like to rip

I wouldn't be to sure about that, maybe take your time and brake the belt in properly. there are many running turbos with a 3 inch on that belt and they do not seem to be having any issues at all.

Marketing...blah blah. I wouldn't want to admit a new release being out hill climbed by its predecessor either.. Time will tell.. Believe it when I see it.

I seen Carl and one other guy at bluelake last weekend, one pull 165 850 to a 174 t3 and it was 5 sleds in front

They came back down and switched

Same pull, swapped riders, close to the same outcome

That will be how they get you to buy a 18' offer the 174 in the new rev chassis with 5hp more or something. For now you have to compare the 165 to 174xm or axys 174

Exactly !!
You sir have it figured out. Lol
Plus the gutless 2017 850 will run like it should in 2018.
First year production are always weak except for the early proto types .
