What's the feedback on this guard set up and GPS / trail tracking system on the new Axys? Real world reports!

I was riding with a buddy this past weekend that has one. It works great, we were exploring a area we have never ridden before. We dropped a pin at the trail head we came up on, and it lead us right back to it. Sure is nice not to pull the GPS out of the backpack. I'm probably putting one on my 16 Axys,

It sure looked like it. He is a member on here as well. I will see if he can give you a bit more info, but it was his first ride with it also.

Mine is awesome. Got socked in and easily followed my screen with almost no visibility. Very user friendly and extremely convenient not having to stop and mess around with a hand held.

Anyone try to load any base map info on these? How about texting?

GPS is a cool feature and right in your face too! Going to see if I can put the heading "up" on it and that would be bang on!

I admit to not thoroughly reading the owners manual and as such maybe deserve what I got but I did not mange my trails properly so they just kept running and recording continuously every time I went out until the memory was full, I tried to export the very long trail and edit it down to what I wanted to keep but have not been able to do so yet, if I cannot I will be forced to erase the whole thing which will be disappointing as I have a lot of data from some mountain trips stored. Lesson learned, manage and name each trail as you go! Dropping a pin is generally a good idea however a straight line to the pin is rare
