Anyone see chevs new commercial with the ford and throwing a tool box in the back! Lol didn't work out so well for the ford. Lol
I seen a new superduty and i prefer the look of the old superduty.

Does the new super duty have the same chitty aluminum box? I sure hope not or it's not much use to have a 4000lb payload capacity.

Looks like my f350/09. Its not safe with full load. Ever try loading fire wood in truck that is lifted so high.

There is a employee price rebate on the 2017s that will disappear soon thought not as significant as the 2016 took the 17 diesel for a ride and it is crazy powerful

My brother in law just picked up a new 2017 F350. HOLY shyte. That's a nice pickup.

Aside from a DVD player, I think he's got more features than my Yukon Denali!

That isn't hard to do with the Chev and gmc's. They have lots of stuff but the dodge has more. Ford is that way too by the sounds of it. As long as the Ford is user friendly like the dodge is.

well as long as i have a heated steering wheel and a DVD player for the kids on long trips, I'm happy. LOL

It doesn't matter which one you have, they all have had problems. Pick your poison and either live it with or go down the street to the next guy.

Go on the Duramax forums and they tend to have one or two threads with a common problem a handful of guys get from each manufacturer, go on a Cummins forum same thing. Guess what, Powerstroke forum again, same thing, one or two common issues that pop up with these trucks and their drive train. Rarely do you see a bunch of Allison issues, or a Cummins power unit problem or Ford running gear issues. You do see some Duramax reliability issues and Dodge drive train and Ford emissions and emission control topics. Each may have a few others but I don't follow each and every one of them. Most of these are then usually a result of someone messing with something. Either adding programmers, lifting the truck, not understanding basic truck maintenance like running 80psi in tires when they don't even haul stuff and wonder why it rides like a tank.

Vehicles have come a long ways. I like the Ford's nav system vs the Dodge. GM's interior became a little boring. There is something to be said about how a V8 diesel performs but that low rpm torque of the inline six is a treat as well.

To really get things going, maybe Ford with its huge payload increases on the F150's should look at doing its own small displacement V8 or even a V6 diesel. If you could get 2500-3000lbs payload in a F150 with a 5.0 liter Diesel like the Cummins in the Nissan, wouldn't that be appealing to a lot of people who only have one vehicle that use it for everything?

I think it would be tough to pull off without running into the same issues as Nissan. Namely a heavy motor that eats up a ton of your payload (similar to a 2500 diesel). But yes build a truck that can handle payload, has major components that are reliable to 300k km and sells in the half ton market for ~$50k and I'd buy one.
