If the town hasn't seen much snow since I was there last the trail could be pretty bare. I have a cabin at the base of West Ridge and maybe 2" of snow on the ground. Areas on the driveway that had overhanging trees had no snow, this was near the end of December.
Sledded Allen creek today maybe 6 inches at best past superbowl not sure when and where this snow is falling in the forecast but it's sure not valemount yet.... trails are groomed awesome and staying good because of low number of sledders here this weekend.....snow dance Terry snow dance
New snow is starting to fall out in the riding areas and the conditions are improving.
Chappell has been hit the hardest so far with a reported 20cms of new snowfall and the highway camera out that way is looking great. Snow was reported to be falling in both Clemina and Allen riding areas on Sunday afternoon as riders were leaving.
The upcoming forecast is the best one we have seen so far this season for potential snowfall. Fingers crossed the weather people are correct and we are in for a reload!
Anybody riding or want to ride Tuesday and Wednesday? Leaving from Hinton Tuesday morning and I have room for another sled on my deck. Valemount or Blue River, i'm not too picky.
Hey guys/ gals ,
The web cam looks good but guess what ...........
Chapple delivered the goods today Tuesday Jan 9/17 . Trail had approx 10 inches fresh

TPOWER has the right info. Chappell is leading the game for sure with the fresh snowfall. Bit of a mixed bag of weather we are being dealt with this week. Chappell was measured at 50cms in the last few days and Clemina was reported around 25cm yesterday. No first hand info from Allen. User numbers have been almost nill over this week.
T-Pow was out busting fresh lines again today at Clemina , 1ft to two feet of fresh pending where the wind placed it .
We just had a cancellation for this weekend for one of our cabins so give us a call we appreciate your business . 250-566-9933
Rode today for the day. Accidentally turned into Allen Creek an rode within a 8km radius from the cabin an it’s a concrete pad.
Loaded up an went to Chapple an that was good snow. Bumper deep in areas but a lot of it has settled since the snow fall At the start of the week. It was getting tracked up pretty good but there is still the odd spot you could play in. Between Allan an Clamina that was the busiest riding area.
On that note I took it upon myself to flag down some guys who were extremely close to or thinking about making a run into the closure area. I know Chapple has a lot of tempting areas but if anyone sees guys making a run stop them an make a point.
