Lol yea? That means I've seen a lot of these tracks suck first hand. I think in the 3" version it will be fine lugs look stiffer the issues with the past tracks is there is no chew to them

You can keep your "chew", Poo has instantaneous lift!!! Not sure why they even need a 3"?

I've noticed first hand that I threw my money away when I changed out Poo's stock 163 track with the latest and greatest.. There stock track is no slouch!!

MSRP on the Polaris sleds has been higher than the Doo for a few seasons. Yet they were selling for a higher discount in the MSRP than the Doo's were.

Only $300-400 higher this year MSRP on the comparable sleds. Many RMK's sold for $2500-3500 lower than that.

No really comparison on a sled when someone adds thousands in accessories. At least with the Polaris you can have some sort of colour combinations that may suit the average person who does not want to change the colour or wrap the sled. Doo you get black, yellow and orange?

Did a little price comparing today in 2 actual dealerships not online. Can buy a 163 3" axys with 2 year warranty for $1800 less than a T3 174 summit x in red.

Thx Chris, I will keep that in mind... If you happen to run into any of the new 163 2.6 take offs this coming fall (likely not with a 3" in the poo line up) let me know??

I would think some guys who want to do 174's and want the quick drive might take the -63 2.6 to get the belt drive unless they wanted a chain. Or they want a after market belt drive. Then the cheaper option is still to get the 2.6 to build off.

I think it was only $200 cheaper to go to the 2.6 with belt drive. I have a feeling a 3" won't fit unless you go with a chain case.

I am going to guess the 3" can fit in the non 3" sleds. They dropped the axle in all the sleds unless they are running different drivers between the two sleds.

As far as I know the only difference between the 2.6 and 3" sleds is one uses the quick drive and the other a chain drive.

pretty sure the 3" track is 3.0 pitch and 2.6" is 2.86" pitch

Then it's still only a driver change.

You can put the Doo T3 track in the SP for the cost of the track and the axle which comes with drivers pretty cheap so I do not see why someone couldn't do the same for the Pro. New track and axle swap to the 3.0 pitch.

But yes. Then the savings is a wash.

Dan and Josh you are both right. The guys who rode the 2.6's said there was about 1.5" clearance at the tightest pinch point. The 3.0 track/driver swap will only use up about .5" of that (.4 track + .15 driver) so no problem swapping. And I agree there will be some who want a 2.6 with a chain and some who want a 3.0 with quick drive. I'm sure dealers and S&M will put them together for the swap. It's all good. No end to the custom combos available.

Kinda apples to oranges comparrison. What is cost of T3 163X with a standard 4 year warranty to a poo with 4 year warranty. You should find that an apples to apples will yield a price difference of under $400 on a 16K sled - pretty dam close.
More of a what do I like issue than a cost one on two dam fine sleds that few can push to either of the sleds limits.
