Back in the 7.3 and 6.0 days the fords had huge tanks all the time. I wonder why the reason to go to smaller tanks. Make the truck lighter more fuel efficient maybe?

I think for weight and room for the urea tank etc.

I see why you are called Bingo lol. Its a 2012 ram cummins in my avatar. That's a 1 year average city and highway, I can do a lot better though if I push reset when I'm going downhill with a tailwind. When I do that I can get the same numbers the other guys on here are posting.

short box have 90 L tank, used to be 110L i think, but when they added the 20L urea tanks they put it at the end of the fuel tank and removed that physical size from the fuel tank. that is my biggest bitch about mine, the small fuel tank, when pulling my big enclosed i get 3 hrs between refills, i could stretch that but i dont like the idea of driving on fumes, especially in the hills in the winter. mind you i pull at 120-125 km/hr, so onviously not really concerned with mileage:rolleyes:

. exactly, they are all about the same, major factor is how you drive no doubt. me and my brother both have 1/2 ton ecoboosts as well, he consistently get 3-4 L/100km better than me....exact same trucks

2015 f350 6.7L cc lwb srw truck has 14,000kms when i go into the info screen and bring up the average fuel economy for the life of the truck it says 16.4L/100km ... my average since my last oil change is currently 15.3... probably 40% of the time pulling 25 foot cabin cruiser boat or 21 foot travel trailer... but the first 8000 kms on the truck were closer to 80% towing boat, trailer or sled deck with sleds and at the time i did my first oil change the life average was 16.9

when i'm not pulling or hauling anything im around 14 plus or minus .5

My F-350 6.7 is getting 18.5 regular driving and between 22 to 30 l/100K with a trailer. It is deleted and has a tuner on tow/haul setting. I can also get the numbers people here post if I reset the computer and drive really really carefully. Must be our driving habits are way different...

I am in no way brand loyal. I've had all kinds. I thought I'd try a 15 ford. Nice truck. Not amazing millage. The absolute best I've ever got was 16L per 100k. This was no load and driving 100km hr on the highway. As soon as I pull my little travel trailer I'm at 25-30l per 100. I thought a tuner might help. It didn't. Maybe a full delete but who wants to void their Warrenty. I now have a 200L titan tank under my truck so I can at least get somewhere. The last 2 weekends driving to Revy with 2 sleds on the deck I'm around 20 -22L per 100k. Not really sure what the other brands are getting in a 15. My last truck to get good millage was a 03 duramax. I have a hard time believing the guys that always get 12 L per 100k. Cheers
