I was wondering what a ballpark figure was to delete my 16 F350, I have been getting a check engine light for P20BA Reductant Heater "A" Control Circuit Performance , it looks like the DEF tank would have to be dropped to get to the Issue. Looks like it could get expensive quickly, I'm just wondering if I would be better off deleting

You can get trucks deleted for reasonable price $1200-2000 if you go with a single tune non fancy exhaust. I looked into it with my 13 gm and it was going to cost more to fix at dealer with longer wait and potential future problems. Disadvantage of delete is cross boarder selling gets harder.

I bought a tank off Amazon for 350 and changed it myself. Pretty simple

I didn't look on amazon, I'll do that next. I spoke to my dealership and they said that if I did do a delete that they had no issues working on it still. They said that they could even do the delete for me if I wanted, the guy I spoke with said that they are using the latest Bullydog tune. I'm waiting for their diesel guy to call me back so I can get some more information on this and what all they would do and also if they will warranty their work.

That was on my wife’s truck. On mine 2011. I did full delete with h and s mini max and egr delete. I was in a bind and had dealer do it. Back then it was spendy. 3500 bux. But 200000km trouble free since.

Cost me $2300 on a 2014. That was with a 5" exhaust, black MPRB tip, EGR delete, and a bully dog tuner. Word of advice - Don't get a bully dog, they're garbage. Call OC Diesel on the west end of Edmonton, they're Ford guys and do good work.

Don't get a bully dog or edge or any of those "cheap" ones. I've been out of the game for a bit but look for someone that tunes on the EZ-Lynk platform. There are a few good ones based in Alberta

What are the advantages of EZ-Lynk over Bullydog? I’d like to get as much info as I can before I pull the trigger, make sure I get the best bang for my buck

smell.. no gain in fuel mileage on my truck, I get all the pro's but I have had really good luck with the new 6.7's especially with the new 17+ I know a few guys over 300k and never back to the dealer. Lastly is resale, it seems to narrow down the market a fair bit in my experience some don't care some do. I think as more and more environmental stuff comes into play there may be some regrets in the future. Everybody has a different situation though.

Bully dog are generic tunes that are very basic. Going with someone like Proven as mentioned above, he spends a lot of time refining his tunes to make them perfect. You can buy one tune and go the cheap route or if you want all the tunes and updates and the one on one tuning/adjustments, you can pay more.

EZ-Lynk is totally custom, the software allows the tuner to change just about any parameter in the engine and transmission, a good tuner can make the truck a little more efficient and more powerful using it. It's very similar to what the Duramax guys had with EFILive 15 years ago.

IMO don't expect to gain much in fuel economy on the 6.7, mine didn't change at all on a 2014 with an H&S tuner and delete.

As sirkdev has mentioned there are reasons not to have it done, I won't dare venture into the states with mine, nor will I easily be able to sell it down there, cold weather warmup times get way longer as the now deleted EGR cooler put a significant amount of heat into the engine coolant, I'm also not a fan of the smell. I was in a similar spot as you, I didn't have the time to fight with the dealer and warranty over a poor performing particulate filter (probably cracked) so I deleted mine.

I burnt out 3 heaters before I deleted mine, cost about $1300 per time for a new element to be installed at dealer. This is fixed on the 2017s from what I am told.

Mine was around 3k, don’t remember specific amount

I went with a 5” mbrp exhaust and unlimited support pack with proven, also sotf (so I had to buy a ezlynk device)

I have no complaints, the boys at proven reply within 8 hours (business day) I find.

You could do it all yourself for prob about 1500. If I was going to delete a truck for my dad I’d just go with a single file, replace the def burner with a simple straight pipe and just unplug the egr

Your math doesn't work. 11.3L/100km on a 128 liter tank should give 1130km per tank. My guess is your DIC is lying to you like most tuned trucks do.
