The green is still better than the McDoo colors!! Liking the changes. Was really hoping for a 174" x3" power claw. 36" front end will be awesome, love it on my M. A 2016 with a supercharger would be cool ride.... Red deer cycle works want to get a group buy on superchargers???

That could be arranged but you might want to go with the Boost-It turbo over the supercharger. We looked into the superchargers this season and decided to do the prototype Boost-It kit for a number of reasons. Stop in and see me

Videos are decent. I like hearing the engineering types talk in those videos. More than "paid to talk" voice over and especially more than the "paid to ride" guys. (Be it any manufacturer.)

Looks like they've fixed a few of the sore points that they keep getting flack over. The spindles and narrows suspension we all saw coming. Team clutches, primary and secondary, I didn't see that coming, and good for them for ditching what wasn't working (I think I heard no more TCL as well?) And the crap ski's that were basically placeholders until you put on real skis are gone too, the new ski might not be better but good for them for trying.

Not much for weight savings.. Couple pounds on the new front end and 3" track. They will be around the 450dry mark and easily modded to the 420 mark with a can and belt drive

2 1/5 lbs in the front end, 3 1/5 lbs with the 3" track over previous 2.6", fixed steering post...prob 1lb lighter?...

some improvements:

different rails...higher in some spots

redesigned from curve of rail (approach angle)

front skid has 6.5" of travel vs 4.5 on previous

front skid shock has 12.5" travel vs 11.25 on previous

no more telescoping bars on M series,,,fixed only...weight savings

new spindle design flows through deep snow better and narrow upper a arms - lighter, narrower stance from 34.5 to 38"

spindle caster angle from 17 deg to 27 deg....better handling

7" skis with different designed keel....better steering

Fox Evol shocks

team clutching...proven performance

I'm sure they will have the new front suspension and 3" I'm just curious to see if there is anything else or at least the new graphics cause can't have the same as the old mans next year
You hit the nail on the head with changes, just sat on them ten minutes ago. Two colors solid black or green, little disappointed no 850cc engine.

Predictable changes except for the clutching which will be awesome. I love my team clutches, second to none in my opinion. Good for Cat but sad they didn't increase the power, unfortunately I don't think they are gonna get a big increase in sales over the few changes but maybe I am wrong, a person could by a holdover 15 for cheap and change out the clutches and narrow up the front end and have pretty close to the same machine for a lot less $. Some dealers were selling 14's for $8700.00, hmmmm gets a guy thinking. I am disappointed that these guys didn't wanna take down the T3, thought Cat might make it exciting, oh well maybe next year.

Not sure what a Sno check will be but these 16s are good bang for your buck. As far as the guys complaining about a new engine, aftermarket guys have these sleds dialed in and are proven.

But that's about $3500 , you can get a 15 new for $10 ish, a 16 is gonna be over $15 for sure. The holdovers look pretty good now I'd say.

I don't count the track as a cost since I would change it regardless if it was a 14, 15, or 16. The skis aren't worth the cash so it would be just the front end and clutches for me, prob under $2000. I could then do a complete top end mod by Brent and still be way cheaper than a 16 and it would be a fun machine for about the same as a new 16 and there wouldn't be a T 3 in sight.

It's too bad they didn't add a 174" for 2016. I guess the front end for $700 includes spacers for your shocks to shorten. So a guy could build a 15 with a 174 pretty cheap. The clutches would last for one season then upgrade to the team. My big question is who wants to buy a 490 lb ,200 hp M1000 174 with 1000 miles on it!!
