I'm having what seems to be a somewhat similar issue. My sled is a 16 summit 800 as well, bought it used with 550 km in 2019 currently sitting at around 900km. First couple rides this winter was perfect but halfway though the day on my last trip it was falling on its face at WOT. I would be climbing at 77-7800 rpm then it sounds like it drops to one cylinder and my rpms are at around 63-6500. If you do a quick let go - grab full throttle again its back up to 77-7800 rpm but will die out again seconds later.

Changed plugs with brand new ones on the hill, didn't fix it. Air box was nice and clean, took rave valve cover off and they seem to move freely and easily top to bottom. thought maybe from low mileage something got a little sticky. No check engine lights and ran perfect otherwise. Some pulls it would stay strong throughout and other times it would die out going across the lake. Was also thinking water in fuel so I tried to burn it all and almost the full tank was burnt that day. I only run shell 91 so I wouldn't expect it to have water or ethanol in it, but maybe. It was fresh fuel, out of the pump a few days prior.

Riding was in upper tiffany lake. approx 6500-7500 ft I think, correct me if im wrong.
No hard starting at all when hot or cold, starts instantly.
Sled is all stock aside from mbrp can.

Has the fuel pressure regulator issue been fixed for the 16 sleds? I've heard yes and no so unsure of the real answer.
Possible reed valves cracked? Is this symptoms of bad reeds or should I look for other symptoms?
I've heard a bit about fuel filters so that's probably going to be my first thing to check, any other tips or pointers where I should start?

I've got two xm's, one has 9700 km and other has 7700 km

Both have original reeds in them, just saying not a common thing
