I heard from a little bird ..

-163 and 174 in 3" (154 in 2.5")
-15 lbs weight reduction
-different steering setup to make it easier to steer
-longer shocks, dropped a-arms for more travel

and some other little changes and upgrades

(ps, haven't read the whole thread, was out roopin pow, dont know if it's been spilled here yet... just doing my duty as an S&M'er)

LMAO exactly. Most guys don't like them because their buddy don't. Nice to see Doo step into the 20th century. Air shocks are like the rubber paddle tracks and spring shocks are the old plastic 2" paddles. A set of "X" package shocks with 1980's technology costs more than a pair of float R's anyway - don't know what you guys are sad about.

Guys are trying to make spring shocks ride like air, with double or triple spring rate springs now, or you can have infinitely adjustable air rates......hmmmm. adjustable ride height vs fixed. Air shocks don't sag out like springs. Easy to adjust on the hill with a few quick pumps, it takes way longer to get out the big wrenches and start raising or lowering the spring tension. Lighter than spring shocks. Only place spring shocks tend to ride a little better is on the trail and small stutter bumps. You can get a softer ride now with the floats anyways, just use the canisters and increase the air volume. LHF doesn't like them because they don't make a set to fit the wedge chassis.....

I haven't seen any tangible proof about why they are "no good", other than that specific comment. Never blown a seal, don't know what this is about other than making a mountain out of a molehill. If you are getting stuff up into the seal, you should be using the proper shock protectors (should be using them regardless IMO) and not pumping them up to 250 PSI. They require maintenance like most other high performance items, its worth the very limited extra effort though. The new 3's have an updated seal and harder coating as well, so this will likely be less of a minimal issue than it is now.
Usually I agree with your views, but not here. My Nytro had Floats all 'round. After re-valving they were pretty good, but the rear one in the Timbersled skid just wasn't up to the task. The Z-Bros reservoir springy dingy replacement was 100 times better. I'd run Floats on the fronts again, but not on the rear skid....

But anyways...174x3" with a 1000 E-Tech would be pretty cool!

Wow, some very ugly colors.....I guess the designers must have eaten all the good colored crayons and they used what was left to color the new sleds with

Same thing EVERY year... People FREAK out about the colors... then they sell a TON of them after people see them in person. Why do you think they are bringing green BACK..... AGAIN. lol. I know all of you guys with the ALL black sleds arent going to like it..... Take my word for it...COLOR is taking over.

I know all of you guys with the all black sleds arent going to like it..... Take my word for it...color is taking over.
and a lot of them are getting wraps now anyway........

100%. manufacturers are going to go after what can pull them in the most bucks... and the amount of multicolored sleds ripping around now is outnumbering the amount of all black sleds that were ripping around a few years ago. People like to stand out now... This website unfortulatley makes up a very small margin of thier customer base... And you dont think that they were like... "alright I think this looks good... release it" lol.
People that are judging these colors off the pictures are going to be in for a suprise. SAME thing last year with the freeride... everyone was like... EWWWWWWW off the start. Then all of a sudden there wasnt enough to go around! Just CHILL for a little bit people lol.

skidoo usually does a good job on the colours!!!that blue XP they came out with was probably the worst i can remember.

Im all for the colours!! Better than the same old black on black. I'll be riding an orange one next year!!

But for a couple hundred bucks, you can make your sled whatever colour you want with a wrap. Putting a wrap on a black sled will always look better than trying to cover up something that is bright yellow or lime green. Nothing wrong with colour options, but have a black option as well.
