I dropped my sled off there today $$$700 bucks he says gets rid of all the hoses and white manifold on the raves he says his delete kit needs a dealer buds calibration and good to go time will tell suppose to improve the low end throttle response.... hope this helps everyone with the nasty p1477 code and rave fail codes I will post my review in the new year after my next mountain trip...

I love to here more about deleting the pesky check valve and solenoid. How do u do it and do u have a check engine light?
it needs to have some machining done to the housing, and you need to tune out the solenoid with budds somehow, its not something you can do yourself i dont think. You need the install done by Mad Motorsports. Theres also a bring and springs that need to be added as well.

To bad I am in the states. Only about a 20 hour drive 1 way. I might have to give them a call. I would love to get rid of all that rave crap. Sure gives me trouble about once a year.

My system is a boost it with intercooler on a 2015 summit X 174 super happy with the turbo and installed by Neil and TJ at Boost it.... just a shame they closed shop very knowledgeable group of guys and service was second to none.... Neil recommended madmotorsports so I have high expectations.....

Dean said he retrofits a cap and springs on top of the rave valves and eliminated the solenoid and 3 tubing lines and the white manifold He installs a new billet manifold for the control line to raves He also said his delete kit makes it a bit tougher cleaning the rave valve because of the addition of more springs and adaptor cup that he adds..... don't think any machining on sled just bolts right on but he would explain it much better.... hoping to get another 2000 Kms out of the sled and only running 6-8 lbs of boost

ok im very interested in how this turns out. im running a boost it non intercooled kit at 3 to 6 pounds. i havent had the chance to ride it yet, but that will change on sunday. Ive talked with dean about this mod a few times before but i dont wanna do it until i ride my machine and make sure everything works. after that im gunna pull the trigger on it.

Well I would not recommend this kit to anyone.... it now has a huge bog and stumble at low to mid range that is totally unmanageable although the code has not reoccurred I think my issue was just the white manifold needed replacement and this was a 800$$ lesson and has now created a whole new problem.... the days of a stock sled pull the rope and ride look pretty good at this point

Told old you on post number 4 to do it, I had spent a few rides of troubleshooting to find this out as well.. What we spend in this sport foolish can gives us a nice warm vacation for a decent amount of time each year.. Hope all works out for you

Post 6 says you are running rich and bogging. Check all lines for raves, redo all zip ties, try and check for splits in the lines, if you have a pressure/vacuum tester check them individually.

Mid all checks out get the dealer to reset it. Watch them do it. They will set closed. Neutral, and open states. Neutral is critical to get right.

got a a/f gauge what are your readings? Yes

No a/f gauge just boost gauge.... I personally think this delete kit needs a remap so it looks like I will remove this setup and reinstall a new stock rave system and carry a spare white manifold and check valve and in the mean time look for a 850 there is a reason they ditched this old system

I guess I will try to tune this xic controller to eliminate my low end bog before I remove this delete kit and hang on a nail.... wish I would have just replaced white manifold first contacted specialty sled and redline performance and they both recommended going back to stock but I'm a sucker for punishment..... will attemp tuning the low end on this xic finally found a manual on the xic 1000 and now the games begin......

If you want to touch base with Dean and see if that kit is transferable to a different sled I would be interested.

did you try checking everything I mentioned in my post.

further to that pull off the cover, start the sled. you should see those raves drop down at idle. push on them with the sled idling, if you can get it to move then you have a leak in the system somewhere. could be lines or a bellow.

p1477 is raves not being closed. compression has nothing to do with it.

Has this manifold caused issues even without throwing a code? I’m having issues with a hesitation below 6000rpm when grabbing full throttle. If I ease through it it runs alright.

Depends on the settings in the position sensor. The easiest way to tell if your hesitation is rave related is to pull the over off and start the sled. Within the first 5 seconds of running the raves should draw from the mid position to the full closed position closest to the cylinder. If they don't you may have a bad rave solenoid or manifold. The manifold should flow as shown below.

Doesn't hurt to check your fuel pressure as well, I had some funky things going on 5500-7000 rpm but would run fine at WOT.

After changing out the regulator and pump it seems to have smartened up.
