With suicide rates being up 30% in Alberta and the Christmas season upon us maybe the owner has gone out sledding alone and just did the unimaginable?

Or

Got off the sled to go take a piss beside a tree and fell down in the tree well and has suffocated?

Little tree line from Allen yesterday. Alpine snow conditions have been amazing lately. If someone could just turn the furnace down a bit and shoo away some of this thick cloud cover we could really get it on, but this heavy mountain weather is also a blessing in disguise as its allowing the snowpack a bit of time to adjust to this new load before the clouds part and the world can access it.

Ride safe folks!

The alpine snow continues to fall and the riding is amazing as long as you don’t mind a little snow, wind and fog! We are still seeing above freezing temperatures and rain up to approximately 1300m so please be understanding of our grooming program. We have added many extra shifts to try to help out the cause although the weather is still the ultimate factor. This goes along with the staging areas. The plows have been out although as often as we can get them, although users should be prepared for wet winter conditions.

To see a quick video report from on the mountain today, please check out Valemount Area Recreation Development Association

Ride safe, this loaded snowpack deserves a wide margin of safety.
