Rode ground hog west, snow was deep but very wet and heavy. Never did so many ski pulls in my life, the 155s were having a tough day.
Rode trees and small angle stuff, seen a size 2 slide, two guys stuck one above another about 30-50 feet away with a huge cornice above them, brutal spot to be.
We dug a pit and there is a nasty hard layer about 50cm down, with some pressure and a little push, snow slide right off it easy. Seen lots of sloughing, especially once the sun came out.
Snow is settling up very quickly, it was warm and sunny out all afternoon.
Yeah it snowed up top. We rode foam on Saturday which was all fresh. We rode foam again yesterday and it was all fresh again. It poured rain to just over 3000ft.
North Blue was good today. Open spots (most of the area) was setting up a little but was entirely untouched as usual. Wind and sun protected areas were v good. Knee deep. Here are some bad pics
yesterday in Salmon. Conditions were super. Saw 3 other sleds all day. This place never gets rode out. Trail boiled my shocks to death, must have bottomed out 800000090 times. Bummer.
Rode salmon on Saturday March 26th. Easy access up to the top with about 1.5 feet to 2 feet of fresh. Was a good day. Snow was setting up fast by the end of the day. Tree riding was still good.
Anyone been to foam recently? I've been at the beginning of the month and there was only a few open areas. Just looking for an update for anyone that has been up there.
