My cousin did and I don't like it! It's TSS can and the sound it makes horrible! And you got to cut a big hole in side of your tunnel which I am not a big fan of.

quick update on my THING COOKER can

I contacted Al and told him about my issue .. he told me that they revised their can in 2013 and I must have gotten an older one, I did buy my can pretty early... he had me send it in and told me the revise ones shouldn't have any problems !

I'm stoked to get the new can and try it out..

My Rt's both have specialty cans on them. No issues and sound awesome. Probably doing an HPS for the xm though.

Does it really matter what it looks like when you open the side panels?

The smell of garlic lemon shrimp sure compensates for any perceived build problems...........just saying!

In the end I dont realy care about the looks but when I got mine in the mail and checked out the welds and tubing copes I couldnt help but think how many more of these they would sell with better product representation. They got a great idea and I have heard nothing but great reviews but certainly must be losing some market share due to the esthetics. Tig welding the average can would literally take 10 more minutes than mig and the price of mandrel bent tubing is fairly reasonable these days especialy when you factor in the cost of labour to cope and weld tubing. There might be some other factors that I might not understand though.

Have you ever been to the sled shed? You understand a lot more if you seen the place. They get the job done but nothing is to pretty there.

How does the thing perform power wise? Do you have to clicker down after installing it? I can't see how the 45* pie cuts could flow as well as the stock suitcase?

Yeah it is literally a Shed...with some sleds.... I don't think they are setup for TIG welding or mandrel bends.... Maybe they should go on the Dragons den with the Thing Can, cause its a good idea,, they aren't setup for mass production tho....

I haven't noticed any difference Brandon. We have been running 'em for 3 years now on 5 different doos (all Summits) and no issues. Our clickers are set at 3-4 and hardly ever change them.
