Cat has proven they can build exciting and capable mountain sleds starting with the 2003 Mountain Cat 1M 900, the 2005 M7 and the 2008 M8. Many looked at the 2012 M8 as a downgrade from the successful M series chassis. However, the 2013 Arctic Cat M800 proved the new chassis works incredible in the mountains after making it turn better and working out a few bugs.
For 2014, subtle updates transform the M800 to the Arctic Cat M8000, 2014 M8000 SnoPro and 2014 M8000 Limited. This will likely be the last year of the 2-stroke Suzuki manufactured 800 engine.
