2013 XMX reflash?

Hey guys, I borrowed a friends 2013 800XMX with 1500km on it for the weekend. Has a specialty can and several times over the weekend it threw the check muffler, check engine codes accross the dash. Shut it off and restart, goes away. Even ran fine even with the code and lights on the guages. My question is, would a buds reflash possibly stop this? Is there a chance of damage or power loss from the code/repeating? The pipe sensor is in tight. Any insight would be appreciated, I had a 2014 800XMX with the same can and never an issue. Thanks

Took mine out today and was doing some ditch bangin to break in a new top end. Later in day I could see my check engine light was on and s1 or s2 would sometimes flash across the gauge. The sled was running awesome. Looked in shop manual and can't find a page that tells ya what the codes mean. Started it again later and no check lights. Anyone know where to look? Don't mean to highjack thread but seems similar enough. 2013 XM
