I was riding today and I made a big Jump. I jammed my hand against the throttle and it became loose on the bars. We tightened it up with an allan key on the bottom of the throttle. Now it won't idle anymore. I have to push it closed so it will idle. If I loosen the allen key the throttle doesn't stick but it is loose on the bars again. Anyone ever experience this before?

The throttle block popped apart. You can fix it but I believe you have to remove the throttle lever to do it. You will see it with a closer inspection.

Yes you need to pull it apart and carefully put it back together. Had a friend who just tightened the Allen key and to his surprise took off with stuck throttle wide open!! He and sled survived tangle with a spruce tree luckily. Check it carefully as this can end up dangerous fast.

Do you unscrew the 4 philips head screws on the block then it comes apart? Is there any surprises when I open the box up?

There is a plastic part that the Allen screw is in that slides out when the screw is loosened. You take off the horseshoe looking cap with 4 screws in it, then this piece can slide out then you will be able to re slide it back into the v groove. When the allen is over tightened it pops out of the v groove that holds it in place. This throttle block was change in 2013 to this style. Prior to 13 you won't have this issue.
