So is it just a track swap, gearing changes and smaller drivers then? What about a camo 2.5" whats required there?

dont the stock tracks have 2.4" lug height?

If polaris would ever come out with a real engine that made real power i might have to make the switch back given you can fit a 3" without the smaller drivers.... but we will see how t-motion works

Did anyone else notice the size of that can on the rmk?! That thing is friggin huge! I want to see that on the scale!

Polaris 800s have the lightest factory 2stroke can on the market. It's so light that aftermarket cans don't save any weight. <--- looking for an expert to confirm if this is true.

Was there any pun intended when you said switch back? I like the looks of those new Polaris RMK's but like mentioned they need more reliable horse power.

Yes 7t drivers would be the only way this is possible. Would the 7t drivers not increase your approach angle? Is 1/4" enough clearance for a 3" track? Is it 1/4" to the front? What about other areas? I have had the stock track hit before. I'm not 100% convinced on simply changing the drivers and have no issues yet. Time will tell I gues, but I think I'll still be dropping mine to ensure proper evacuation and clearance.

7 tooth drivers do not improve your attack angle.

Ya it is a 2.4" but havent heard rave reviews (or bad really) about that track so always lookin for that extra little bit. As for power its rated about the same as the ptek so not to worried about that, and a PA head will bring it to par or close to the industry leaders in that category (nvrmind the lightweight aspect) plus ive owned an 09 m8 with even less hp and it was a good sled. The only real issue is the reliability, seems to be hit and miss, but supposedly they redesigned the cylinder skirts and or pistons so maybe thatll resolve or prolong those problems, guess only time will tell.

No shat FREAK! I said "increase" not "decrease"
Wow, didn't know I needed to spell that one out.

Increase = more attack
Decrease = less attack

Less attack is better

i am running a 3" on mine with less than 1/4" clearence. Its not as much a issue as with the larger paddles there is more void for this to move around in. Unlike the older sleds with 2" tracks.

I am not sure you require smaller drivers, i have heard from many ppl the 13 is revised so you can fit it in without smaller drivers or extended case. Even these guys say it can be done. cant really confirm though... never seen a 13 in person yet.

You can only get a 3 inch track in a 3 inch pitch and the Poo comes with a 2.86, so you have to either go bigger or smaller drivers to run a 3 inch track in the Poo. Therefore to run a 3 inch track with the stock belt drive, you have to go to a 7 tooth 3 inch pitch driver.
We are going to try it, but are actually going to cut the lugs down about 1/8 of an inch. lol. It will be the new 2 7/8 track.

If you want to stop by the shop, we will be glad to show you the measurements on our shop sled and you can then decide which way you want to go.
