I was in Mcbride last weekend with the new clutch running a new 083 cat belt we put on about 230km clutches were hot but not too bad. I didn't do any long pulls due to Avy conditions. The only thing now is to get the proper rpm's I'm consistently hitting 8050 and I should be up around 8200-8300.

Have you dynoed your machine to know it should be at 82-8300 for peak hp and torque ? Seems to be other opinions as to optimum.

Best track speeds are achieved between 8000 and 8100 rpm. As you rev it higher it loses speed. This is because the torque and hp curves meet in this area.

I was told that the cat motor likes to run between 8200-8300 by mountain magic and I trust that those guys know what they are talking about. I am for sure open to other opinions though, thanks guys!
