2013 driveshaft info

hey guys just letting you know a customer came into our shop today and asked for a rmk 900 drive shaft, his buddy was told by/from polaris that this shaft will work in the new 2013's i dont see why people are trying fixit kits and such if the old 900's drive shaft will do the job? i have one if anyone wants it $200.00 might have a second one aswell soon

from what i was told it has to be 2005 900 and shaft bearings+drivers will have to be changed as well if im not mistaken...

I think drivers are a different pitch as well? saw on SW a guy swapped his for a 900 shaft, remember seeing he had ordered avid drivers for it...?

the '13 drivers will fit onto the 900 driveshaft? or would u need new drivers too? local dealer told me today that only 19 canada wide (pro driveshafts) have failed. and if it dosnt go in the first 5-10kms then ur good. not sure how true that is lol

very possible, i have no clue as i was only told this by some public person who herd it from his buddy who is looking for one.
just thought i would share here since i did not recall reading anything about the swap on here. the one i have is from an 05 166" sled and it has aftermarket drivers installed, not avids but some company with the name begining with S i believe? there not an extrover driver either. the 900 we parted out has the new polaris 163 track and skid under it from either a 2011 or 2012 sled.

my buddy broke his in owls head last week, not sure how many kms were on his but i know it was not the first ride for him. the sled spent the night on the hill untill it was able to be flown/drug out

He was riding without a fix kit wasnt he?! How many have to break befor Polaris steps up ....In MHO thats bull....!!!!
