Crazy snow up top for this time of year! Not the best picture, but it works. This is looking up at the Westridge from town. Hopefully a sign of great things to come.

Is there anything new with trails or ride areas this year. Is the trail cut all the way into keyhole.

This was the year of repair...... Unfortunately water was not our friend the last two years and some major brushing needed to be done in certain areas. The Chappell trail needed some major brushing on the front side and some stability work at the 15km marker, Allen Creek needed repairs up to 5.5km and the 5km hair pin corner also received a lot of work to improve safety, the Westridge trail has severe water damage and needed major works. We are also looking into the slough at Oasis. It is likely that the main FSR into Clemina will be plowed again this year, so a major focus has been working with Kinder Morgan, BC Hydro and Rec Sites and Trails to allow us a permanent more user/groomer friendly trail until the 4km bridge. Consultation on this should be finished by the end of the month and we hope to begin the needed clearing and repair to the paralleling trail during the first week of November.

No works have been done on the upper trail into Keyhole although is on our list for improvements next year. One bit of exciting news for Keyhole, is that Kinder Morgan Canada will be installing a permanent crossing over the creek behind the Clemina parking lot. This was causing a lot of issues. Its not as wide as we would like although we will make do and are extremely excited to have a long term solution to the crossing.

For the sled skiers/boarders, Crystal Ridge has received two additional runs, the road has been surfaced and the encroaching alder has been brushed way back. Access to this area will be sweet this year. This was all done with Grant funding.

The new site for the Clemina cabin has been stripped and prepped in advance for an early start to construction next season.

We have been busy, although cannot really advertise them as new, just some serious maintenance that we are relieved to get done and remember, we always welcome ideas and thoughts from you guys, so please call or email any suggestions to our office. I'd really love to hear them.

Thanks for the interest!
