I run the SPI pipe on my 12' with no issues to report. Not sure on your can. I have good luck with the MBRP. Maybe try your stock muffler?

Could possibly be one of two different issues.

Does or has it thrown any check engine lights? If it has, have you ran it to see if it is protecting itself? Or taken it to the dealer for a buds reading?

Chances are you are experiencing an over rev. I found for the most part during break in I was able to run lower clicker numbers, now through break in I am on #3 but have the exhaust done. It still has a little too little pin weight for my liking and will sometimes get an over rev and hesitate. Adding a gram-gram and a half back into the pins will make the difference.

Secondly, there is an issue with some sleds not getting enough voltage to the injectors. One way to do this on the X and Freeride is to have the hi/low beam switch engage both the hi/low beam at the same time, results in a voltage drop and doesn't power the injectors properly when you punch the throttle. The hand warmer switch is also suspect. That issue is under review.

no check engine lights, when i pin it, it goes to 7900 then drop to 4500 and back up to 7900 then drop, it does this about 3-4 times then takes off, it only started doing it this bad today

It must be an arctic cat owner implanting stories. There is no way in hell a doo and a 2012 at that could ever have an issue,,, nope,,, blasphemy

I heard he rides with a Cat and left his Summit at his buddy's place last week. Lol.

It was a little while ago I read on here that somebody had a bog with there summit, and it was after they put a can or a pipe and a can on. And they said that they pulled the exhaust temp sensor out and it ran good. Don't know if that will work but it's worth a try.

my 2012 will do the same thing with the can im running right now. its not all the time but yesterday was a bit of a scare when i went to mash on the throttle up a huge face with an elbow in it and there was nothing there. never did it again that day......i know all my answers have been its your can. but its seriously the only issues we are having with these sleds. trying to get them to run as good as stock with a can is proving extremely challenging.

pull the can off and go back to stock. if it keeps doing it try taking the main pipe off and go back to factory. like Rene said could also very well be an EGT sensor that is buggering you up. I know micku has a couple egt probe kits cause some cans work some dont. good luck to ya its to bad cause that 12 summit is sick!

He's got Micku's can on it so shouldn't it work without the Exhaust Temp Sensor? I'd pull the sensor first or call TSS. Snopro has the same pipe and no issues?

Does anyone know what the Exhaust Temp Sensors read in? Are they a 10K Ohm sensor? Can a person measure the Resistance to see if the sensor is providing a proper reading? I've asked my local Doo dealer but they kind of just stare at me blankly and have know idea. I am trying to help out a couple of buds with their sleds.

I just called up to Pines Service in Prince Albert ask for the info I asked above. They did not know, but they did tell me that there is a ECM re-flash that Doo has told them to do during the 10 hour service?????

Has anyone had this reflash done and have it cure the problem?

They of course also said to try swapping the Aftermarket can for the Stock one and to see if that clears it up.

My guess is that this re-flash most likely will increase the band that the sensor look at. Of course I would like to see if anyone has proved this. My one friend had his re-flashed yesterday so I will see for myself this weekend what it does to clear this up

Hey tex78 thats because they don't like you, and you pissed them off. I droped mine off twice and next day got the call ready to go. Bring service a box of donuts when you drop off sled or bring him a coffee. What ever works. LOL I have the tss can and at lower elevation it does that same thing but clears up once I get up higher, do to hitting rev limiter.
