I have a 2012 600 RMK that has started to idle very low at start up, somewhere around 1400 when it should be around 2100. After 2 or 3 minutes it picks up and starts to idle and sound normal. The last two times out I had to drive it for a km or two to get it to run right and couldnt get more than 6500 rpm out of it until it gradually started to kick in and run right.
Not sure where to look. Plugs,CDI,injectors??? Is there condensation in an electrical component?
There are only 500 kms on the sled.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like the throttle position sensor or TPS... Dealer can check that it is within its perameters or out of whack. There's a post on here somewhere on how to make your own testor if you are so inclined...

i made one of those testers but never used it...lol...but have heard of the TPS having moisture in it,was told to add some dielectric grease...check see if cable is pinched some where.

How is your clutch engagement, if it is also low I would check the spring, if it is broken it can cause the clutch to drag at idle and for sure cause your low rpm issue on top. Always check the simple things first, broken springs do crazy things.

Iv heard of a few 600s with bad crank seals. I would think that it would run like ch!t all the time but its something to think about.

I'm going to start with the plugs first.
Also, is it possible for this to run on only one cylinder? When its cold and idling extra low 1400 vs 2100, it sounds like a single and after it runs for a bit you can hear the other start to kick in and then its fine. What connection is being completed warm and not there when its cold?
If its the plugs, this will be the 3rd set in 500 kms.
