Looking for some feedback on the 2012 600 polaris pro. Thinking on getting one for the mrs. Just wondering how they are running, and how well folks are enjoying them?

I can only comment on what I have been reading over on SW, as ...well....i have no seat tme on mine yet
but everyone is really liking them
pulls strong for a 600 and will basically get you anywhere you want to go
I calculated the power to weight ratio compared to my 800 REV and they are almost dead even
might not get the highmark, but it will get to the top w some effort
a blast in the trees
the 600 is bulletproof

there is a TSB for all 600's to have the oil line bled, make sure this is done

some things to consider if it will be used out west and in the flats:

the base RMK 144 or 155, has an extra cooler up front and extra bogies, the Pro does not
the Pro will run A LOT hotter on the trail than the base will
IMO the bar set up on the base RMK is better than the Pro tapers and leaves you more options to chane things out if you want
the skid/suspension is better on the 155 and Pro than the 144 (im changing mine out so i didnt care)

Im coming off an 800 and cant wait to trey this rig out

Just went out today for my first ride with my pro 600, in the westridge , valemount , very, very surprising machine , amazing to ride , feel like you have a 700 cc or more.

Ok full disclosure first
-26kms trail and field only-
limited snow-
this is the first time out on the sled
Plain and simple SLED PULLS HARD!
Wow.... Coming from a REV 800.... This thing rips
Had a quick fun race w my cousin who is on a etech 800 154 and..... I was maybe only 1.5 sleds behind
And neither of us hooked up proper off the line
Was on and off the the throttle to break er in
So happy i got the base RMK, as temps never got above 128 w scratchers down
Honestly guys and gals this sled is awesome
I was begining to wonder if i made the right choice and i KNOW i did
I only get west once a yr or maybe two so this IS the sled for me
Does not feel under powered at all
And wow is it easy to pull over.... easy but yet stable
Powder pros are awesome on the trail and in deeper snow
Sorry dont mean to go on, but i cant wipe this grin off my face :)

Great, thanks for the feedback. Now I just have to find a place that rents out the 600's so the mrs. can try one. Is there any one at or near Revy that rents out 600's.

The last two sleds I rode were an 800 XP and an 800 Rev before that and I am on the PRO 600 this year and LOVING it!! I am strong for my size (I like to think anyway) but I never felt like I was getting everything out of those big sleds, sidehilling was always an 'issue'. I like to to tree ride a lot and this PRO is so easy to maneuver through the trees...powder, packed trail...doesn't matter, this sled is just so responsive and light but has the power to take me everywhere I want to go! The bottom end is super snappy which is great for getting out of potential pickles as you don't have to hold it to the bar to get out of precarious situations (not always anyway!), this has done wonders for my confidence as it can be a little scary pinning it on an 800!! Not sure how much experience your wife has riding but whether she is a newbie or long time rider, she should find everything she is looking for in this sled and not be totally exhausted at the end of the day
