I guess he doesn't know about the poo's engine problems, oil line problems and the lack of hp compared to the etec. They all have there issues.

:) Drugs :)Very few oil line/cap issues. Not even worth mentioning. 2012 Pros are same weight and design as 2011's. I have not heard of any strength issues at all. The Pro has been proven to be as good or better than the summits and cats in deep snow. I have seen enough video comparisons to confidently say this. No secret here. Pretty good for a sled with less HP. Clutches are tops in the buisness for performance and reliability. When I hear the issues the Doo guys have with clutching..I'm stayin clear. Again I am not bashing the Doo but I sure don't want the problems that I here some are having. I would not buy a new Poo until they got it right either. Took them long enough. Please correct me If you have facts (not opinions) to back up your comments. :)

Fact, The pro is a nice sled but I expected more climbing performance out of it for all the hype about it, compared to the etec or ptec XP, the pro still has some catching up to do. I still have stock clutching and I easily out climbed a pro.

It's got to do with the key being programmed with the old buds system.

you guys are funny. there is NO power loss with the reflash. and you didnt lose trackspeed because of the reflash. look elsewhere

I dunno if its from the reflash but i had tried 2 demo sleds and neither of them went even close as good as my etec with the Old curve. They felt like the regular Ptek, i was thinking of getting a 2012 but at this rate im thinking ill stick with my 2011until i have a solid answer, as it flat out rips compared to the others ive rode.

You do realize those demo sleds had over 6500 km on them? Been ridden every day since the demo tour started

I rode martins Black 163, and a Demo that showed 1100km 154 with the new 2.5" which felt the same as the 163.

I dunno man, it feels exactly like the Ptek does. If you comapre mine to them its like i have BigBore. No Jokes ill let you take it for a rip next time i see you out there.

1935 km's on mine and ridden full bore since day 1 no break in periods for this guy and finally just frayed the belt havent had a single issue yet! no bogs no hesitations no nothing just straight up grip the bars and let it rip! even with the stock clutching and my clickers on 3 of 6 I was 3 sled length ahead of a pro and was only hitting 7400-7500 rpm. the handling on the new etec is amazing as well! middle of a hill coming down just flick it on its side and do a 180 rite back up the hill love it! I figure by end of the season I will have 3500 km's on it hope the other 1500 km's are as great as the first!

I believe you. I rode another etec and not at brps ride, it did not have the snap and power feel that mine did. Right out of the box my sled through to breakin mine hasn't changed it's been a strong runner from day one , and I have the new flash. I didn't notice a difference. The only thing I have is a low end hesitation at low elevation, high elevation hesitation seems to be going away with clutching changes.

I've been waiting to post on here till I had an issue. Well it finally happened. I started loosing RPM while climbing. Belt still looked good, but put my spare belt on and problem solved. I can't believe it. 1000kms and second time I had to open my clutch cover. First time was to change belt after break in. Unbelievable! ........sorry guys, just not seeing many issues with these sleds.

On my 09 Summit 800R I installed a vent kit & cut out most of the plastic that was not necessary around the tool kit. I did this because my 04 clutches were cool all of the time, my 09 were always hot, burn your hand in 5 seconds hot, the vent kit didn't help till I cut out a bunch of the useless plastic from around the tool kit. I have a co-worker with an 09 Renegade, I told him to cut the useless plastic from aroiund the tool kit, he did but it didn't make a big difference, so I believe that it is the combination of the two. Since I installed the vent kit & cut out the plastic around the tool kit my clutches are a million times cooler. I have 1700kms on the stock BRP belt & no issues or heat problems since I completed the mods mentioned above. I had noticed this on my stock 04 summit but reallity hit when I was working on a 05 Renegade & saw the room for airflow on the stock sled. I have broken in a spare belt & have been running the stock belt since new (other than the break in period for my Ultimax XS belt). Currently have over 1700kms on the Doo Belt.

well, right after I post the smart azz comment i get a check engine light flashing and it goes into limp mode. bring it to my local dealer and it turns out it's a shot exhaust temp sensor on the muffler. BRP covers that part on warranty and i'm back to rooop rooop.
so far i have 1100 km's and same factory belt too, with stock clutching.

A thread about etec issues and its 8 pages long! Why am i not shocked? Had 4 new doo's and can relate to all of these problems. Thats why I am going to take a gamble with the new proclimb cat. Can't be any worse....I personally am through with doo-doo.....for now

8 pages of really nothing.. the only issues with the etec, is some hot clutches, and that hesitation which went away after break in. pretty solid machine thus far, as im sure many of us put them through their paces with the gobs of powder this yr. even my dealer had nothing come back, other then a few updated flashes.
