Summits beat RMKs stock to stock. It doesn't come down to the rider on a sled really. It doesn't take Chris Burandt to pin a throtle and lean forward. The faster sled will win everytime.

After seeing both sleds at the Edmonton sled show I don't think you could wrong with either sled.

I sure am interested in how the new RMK's will run this year, what a change. And I can not believe how light they are. They look like they will be real fun up on the hills.
On the other hand the best looking stock sled at the show I thought was the copper, black and white summit with the black powder coated tunnel. That sled was sweet. A little more proven however not with out its issues either.

Alls I know is that I would let anyone go for a ride on the turbo nytro so I could try one of those sleds. Enjoy what ever you buy and see you out there.

dragons had motor troubles and dont say they didnt I seen a ton of 09's and 10's hauled out of the bush from wrecked motors!!! The poo is way more nimble to toss around than a doo but once you get the hang of a doo for handling they are way funner!!! skidoo is the faster better climber in my opinion and yes rider makes a huge difference!!!!!! you can have as much power as you want if you cant handle it you are DONE!!!! I watched a guy in fernie two years ago first ride ever buy a turbo nytro needless to say all they guys with stock sleds were roasting him up and down cause he couldnt ride!!! riders make the difference. we watched an older gentleman think his name is ron bear from valemount absolutely destroy us on the mountain with his older sled and our new ironand that guy is in his 70's so yes rider makes the sled!!! but my vote here is the doo unfortuantely poo has had to many problems for me to buy but i'm hoping this new rmk will be there redeemer sled

Yeah he does thats why I expected a more informed reply from a Doo dealer. The Summit is the quicker more nimble of the 2 so it wins simple.:d:beer:

lol, here's my honest opinion, I just dont want to come off like a "Doo nut swinger". In stock form the Summit Doo's are a tad harder to sidehill and carve in the pow, if you ride like a "timmy" your in for a work-out and a steeper learning curve, where an RMK or whatever Poo is way easier to get up on its side and traverse the hill and do pow doughnuts. On the other hand, if you ride like a "man" and make your sled your bitch, the Summit Doo rewards you by going where you point it and holding its line, they are very stable and predictalble. I have found the RMK Poo's to be to tippy/twichy for my liking, the couple of times I have taken a burn on one I found it to be unstable and unpredictable, but that's my opinion, and me being an intermediate or above average rider, and I have have all 3 model xp summit x's, and I get a free demo each season....
Also the 16 inch track on the Doo will have the 15 inch Poo's looking for the hard pack or their riders digging out while the Doo riders are tearing up the trees and floating in the pow.
Last season's 2010 X's are great sleds, you put gas in on hole and oil in the other, I'd install a skid plate, and set your tra on 3 or 4 and have fun... A skilled rider can tear most mountains a new 8sshole on a totally stock 2010 xp summit all season, just clean your clutch once or twice a season and watch the secondary belt tensioner( the plastic one is shyte), we sold heaps of 2010's and none of our customers had any major issues with their sleds.......( although I heard and have seen bad things happen when you ride with the parking brake lever locked on....
The Doo makes more power,is way more reliable, but takes a bit more effort to tip over.
The Poo, well it's easy to top over, but I see alot getting pulled back down to the parkinglot...( but perhaps thats cause I work at a doo dealer and would like to sell you one....

blah blah blah, just go buy w/e you feel like buying, no point in asking anyone on here to compare two sleds cause all u ever get is a pissing contest. Besides there are horror stories out there with all brands, every dealer has made a bad sled over the years and its not the last time.

The poo well be way more nimble, than the doo anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong, the 2011 doos are suppose to be real nimble but that remains to be seen they have gone with a real narrow ski-stance. As far as guys finding the poos tippy, i found that as well and for a doo ridere to jump on a poo or a cat its just a different world. I know and ride with alot of doo riders they like there sleds but have swithched to other brands since there riding has taken them to more technical rideing areas. Bottom line poo a better boondocking sled and doo lighter and good hill pulling sled. Just my 2 cents not saying im a 100% right.

Nowhere did I say I'm an expert.

kingbooney, I couldn't have said it better myself, I completely agree. Finally a post that may be useful to someone :). Which is more reliable is an impossible debate.

Didn't you guys hear that everytime a person purchases a BRP snowmobile they are flown to Valcourt for an all inclusive buyers party, this includes all you can drink Molson Ex, poutine and all the maple syrup you can handle. For the grand finally "The Man They Call Raveen" does a performance to hypnotize everyone into thinking they are riding the best and everyone else is inevitably getting towed back to the parking lot. Vive le skidoo.
