2010 M8 162 snopro (FUEL)

Just got out for a few rides on my 2010 m8 162 snopro got about 150miles on it and the first ride i had on it, came up low octane and i had 91 in sled......and the other time i took it out i put a abet a race fuel in it and came up the same thing..

my buddy had this problem on his 2010 hcr
i donno what they diagnosted it as but we were runnin half and half
91 and 100 lowlead

when your buddy run half and half did the code come up any more?

where did you buy your fuel from i have a 2008 m8 and i can only run esso fuel without my light comming on and with race fuel my sled runs like garabge i would take it in and see if it is something in the ecu

your 08 m8 can run on 87 ocatane the new 2010s are HO (high outout)
more compression means more octane

where did you buy your fuel from i have a 2008 m8 and i can only run esso fuel without my light comming on and with race fuel my sled runs like garabge i would take it in and see if it is something in the ecu

i got a fuel a shell but when the code comes up the sled only goes around 6500 or 7000 rpm and when i stops the sled and shuts the sled off and starts it back up the sled is fine

Sounds like ECU issues!

yeah going to bring it to my dealer when i get home and tell him to check the ecu thanks man...

Same thing happened to me once in Valemount this weekend. I was running good premium fuel. Only happened once... Shut if off and good for the rest of the day. I was thinking it could be possible I got a little snow in the fuel or something. It sounded like it was bouncing off the rev limiter when it happened at WOT. I let off immediately. I could tell the sled had retarded the timing. Good feature IMO as long as it doesn't occur overly often. At least I know my motor won't be burning down due to poor fuel.

It happen to me three times in one day. I hope when i take the sled to my dealer it gets fix, don't want to make a big pull and the sled dies off rpm that well be bad.
