2010 eckville grass races

i heard that they are cancelled this year ,anyone know of any other races,I know grasslands is on anyone else...

I was told that they are still on. First weekend in October. I sent them an e-mail asking them to please confirm. Will update ASAP.

I got an email from Shelley saying that they were cancelled for this year.

I will call my contact and reply. Should of asked him at BVJ he's my neighbour for years, Roger P. He's been involved with that for years.

Shelly e mailed me to about 2 weeks ago saying they couldnt get anybody to help put the race on this year. its to bad ,one of the better grass races around now adays.

Just spoke with Roger this morning. He informed me that it is not happening. They can not get enough volunteers. Come on central Alberta, We have to step it up to keep this event happening.

That's too bad. Volunteerism is really going down hill lately.

Lack of volunteers, sounds familiar, and the same people have to take it on every year, so they get burnt out..sounds like our Club.
