2010 600 shift light went dim and died

Just started my 2010 shift with the track in the air. Was testing it because I was having trouble last season with the head light dimming and dash going dark. After it cooled it would be fine. Then today while it was idleing the light went dark and the rpm's started to increase. I shut it off and now it won't start. Any ideas at what I am looking at?

Sounds like the voltage regulator has crapped out.

x2 on the VR, id be careful running it again. I had the VR act up like that a few times and eventually it fried the ECU. (warranty at the time at least)

Definitely VR. My wife's 600 did same. Don't try to run it again or the ECU will cook. Check the back of the ECU just in case.

its definately a voltage regulator. im on my fourth and now ride with a spare.
