I have a 2009 Polaris iq 800.. it runs fine just trail riding, but when i try go off trail in deeper snow or try drag race the problems occur.. it has a bad bog on and off in mid to top range.. and blows belts like crazy. i put close to 1000 km's on this year and been through four belts.. i feel it is a clutch problems.. clutch is completely stock .. any tips ???

Thanks,, Travis

Clutches out of alignment maybe? I've got that many km's on same belt.
The bog is a common one, lots of threads on here.
Might need an updated reflash? Time to hit the dealer for some maintenance.

Four belts OUCH! Cha-ching $$$$$$$

I have the same sled. You must be off warranty? I have been running a power commander this season and it works very well, no bog or anything. It pulls very hard too. Your clutches must be out of allignment to blow belts like that. It is pulling cords on one particular side?

for the bog try getting the upgraded flash or a power commander. We actually haven't had any complaints from anyone after the august flash has been done. as far as the belt make sure the allignment is correct. could also be a broken motor mount.

agreed new flash seemed to help, would definetely look for broken motor mount, seems to be front pto side mount is most common one to let go.did you notice if your idle rpm has dropped? if so check your compression.

Check the exhaust valves if the diaphram is gummed up that will make it bog.. Did on my 09 800 anyways... What kind of belts are you using, can't cheap out on belts if you want them to last.. Also do you have aftermarket venting for the clutch and exhaust? That sled doesn't have enough air flow factory to keep things cool when the sled is working hard or it is warm out..
