2009 750i bruteforce overheating issues

From what I have read I am not the first to have this issue. Looking for some direction to help solve this problem. Any help is appreciated.

All the big bores have that problem at one time or another.
1. Make sure your fan is engaging.
2. If you play in the mud, relocate your rad.
3. A full reserve bottle does not necessarily mean your rad is full of coolant, so remove the rad cap and check in there too. You could have an air lock and may need to burp the air out of it.
4. Once your coolant becomes contaminated, it will usually boil much easier or foam up. Change your coolant regularly. I do mine at least once a year.
5. Try a high performance coolant like Engine Ice. It works really well for me until it's gets fouled.

Is there a kit you can buy to relocate the rad? When I see pics of bikes with the rad on the front rack is that a relocation or do they actually add another rad into the system? Does anyone now where a good place is to get these parts?

I have the exact same bike, I replaced the stock rad with a Triple core from Highlifter, its pretty much stopped the overheating issues I've had unless its caked full of mud, Only issue I've had with the highlifter rad is the stupid plastic plugs they put in the rad breaking when hit with a rock or branch, change those out to brass and all is good, I'm planning on moving my rad to the rack this winter just to make it easier to clean though

There's a number of them out there. Highlifter, Gorilla, and Wild Boar are the ones I see the most. I hear highlifter is one of the thickest guage ones, maybe someone can confirm that. They're also pretty easy to make if you're handy with metal - once you have the bracket made up, all you need to do is locate some hose to extend or replace your originals.

Trust Dean, he knows all about overheating as do any of us that play in the mud, They all do it, can am, Suzuki, Kawi, Polaris etc. Relocate the rad and keep it clean.

Trust Dean, he knows all about overheating as do any of us that play in the mud, They all do it, can am, Suzuki, Kawi, Polaris etc. Relocate the rad and keep it clean.

Incidentally, my overheating issues at the Jamboree were due to fouled coolant. I flushed it before the Sundre rally and you should see what I did to that poor machine without overheating (much).

Just put it up top or put a 2nd rad up top and never have to mess with it again.

Nope cause the top rad has a psi cap.

I just looped the lines in series and tee'ed the over flow line into the other over flow.

Works 100%

Was going to install a bypass setup just incase one gets a hole but then u can just hook the lines up to the good rad.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get the 2nd rad kit? and what kind of price will I be looking at? I looked on the highlifter site and all I could find was a relocation kit for the original rad.

Tex, isn't it hard on your water pump to circulate coolant through two rads? ...besides is it really necessary to run two rads if your engine is not hevily modded (BBK, stroker, cam, port, etc.)?

Me and one other buddy with a brute used used tyrex rads ( lots of used ones cause guys put in highlifter ones in )

They just about bolt up with mounting tabs on the bottom and top.

Paid 150 for my used rad with fan on it.

Rads 300 plus , fans 280 ish from kawi

Tryed to put a pic up but won't load it

Been on there for 3000 plus hard km. Stock pump and all.

If the bottom rad is pluged up its still getting some heat out. Just the extra coolant capacity alone makes a difference.

Also a cooler engine works better and has cooler oil too ( which is a built in coolant )

Yup, extra coolant and additional distance since each foot of hose adds additional stress to the pump. I never really gave it a second thought until KBrunlees was speculating that might have been the cause of the pump fialure in his Canned-Ham. ...not saying anything, just asking the question.

It's a kawi not a can ham tho :)

Keith brute is the same way and has a 880 bigbore. Said his pump looked 100 %

Dunno guys top rad gets hot fairly fast.

And there is 1 to 1.5 feet of hose added so don't think that has a bearing on it

Tex could you send me a couple pics, I have my stock rad just laying around in the garage, might aswell throw it up top and leave the triple core in the stock location I figure
