Hi, I have a 2008 Grizzly 700 FI. I have noticed that the engine will quit randomly, for no reason. It will start up again with no problem and run. It does not run rough either. I have changed the spark plug and looked for any loose wires, which I didn't find. There is also no error codes coming up. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it when hot and idling? 660 used to be famous for boiling gas in the carb but 700 are fuel injected maybe try removing a side panel and see if it still does it.

If not lots of good ideas to start with here. Apparently the fuel map on these is really poor, post 12 has some suggestions on that.

Take A part the gas cap and remove the ball bearing from the vent assembly. Those are famous for locking up on Yamaha‘s that is probably the fix

There’s no panel up where the heat collects to remove on these. There is on the kodiak though. My ‘08 kinda did it once in awhile too and yes the mapping does suck. I ended up finding my intake boot was clamped incorrectly by the p/o as it’s kinda lame to get it in the right spot and tighten. Adjusted it, bypassed the reverse override and never had another issue for the rest of the time I owned it.
