2008/2009 rear shock vs 2010-2012 rear shock

Anyone know if I can change out the rear shock in a 2008 XP summit part # 503191534 for a 2010/2011/2012 rear shock part # 503192208.
Upgraded the suspension with BRP's kit but my original shock is not re-buildable.

There is two shocks in the rear suspension, which one are you refering to? the front or the rear? I Think the rear shock is the same length and the front one is a different length.
