Hey guy,

So my ECM is friend on my 07 Outlander 800 and I need a new one. I don't want to pay ~1300 for a new one so I'm looking for used ones. What years are interchangable? Do I need another 07 or can I find one from a different year and still be good?

Thanks

Generally, I look at part numbers first. I had a look at the part numbers for 2006-2008 and the part numbers for the ECM were different for each year. ...so it's probably not looking good.

send Kevin Barnes an Email at kevin@get-torqed.com..... he owns Get Torqed.... dyno, engine builder for can am... he is well known all over north america and europe.... is is one of the leading performance guys with can am since 2007.....he can get you a reflashed ecu that will work on your machine.. but you wont get one for peanuts... they are pricey even used... Kevin will be your best bet...

the ecu s are different year to year with the tuning that can am puts into them.. but you can get any year ecu reflashed to work with your machine so you wont need the factory one for an 07

Even if you find a used ECM you will need it re-programmed or it won't start. The key (DESS) is programmed to the ECM (and to the cluster I think).
