2007 Can Am Renegade with very loud knock in rear cylinder

I just bought a 2007 Renegade 800 as a project but the main problem is a EXTREMELY loud knock in the rear cylinder! Has anyone else heard of this? looking for advice before I tear into the motor. Also I did a check on the PTO side of the crank and I have about 8 thow run out is that normal?
It does start and run just has the loud hammering noise.

I just got and outlander 650 and it has the same knock and I'm about to tear it down did you ever find out what it was

I had a similar "knock", in the end it wound up being a total rebuild. Near as I could tell the quad musta been swamped. The bearing turned ruining the crank, I seen no point in a partial so I just wound up rebuilding the entire engine.
About 3k in parts, They included Crank, Rods, Pistons, Timing chains, gaskits, bearings etc....
It was either that or 7k for a new engine. I may have been able to get by with one rod a crank an a piston but thought why piss around just do er properly.
