Long story short I have been in possession of this quad for maybe a year now. I bought a plow (Warn) for it and have been using it for plowing my driveway and burning around my acreage with my son. I now have the possibility to purchase this unit and wondering what you guys thought would be a 'good price'.

Details:

2005 Polaris Sportsman 800

Good:

  • Warn winch
  • Warn snowplow with one seasons use
  • lift kit
  • clutch kit (not sure what kind)
  • 2-up seat
  • k&n filter
  • after market rims/tires
  • 1217 KM's
  • 151.2 hours

Bad:

  • has a bunch of broken plastic. Polaris dealer here gave me quote $800 ish plus install

Ideally would like a side by side but if i can get this for a decent price i will then maybe trade for one or fix up (replace broken plastics) and sell. I am generally not a fan of Polaris but seems like a decent quad. I have never owned a quad before so I dont really have anything to compare too.

Any input on price range?

thanks

I'm thinking in the 3500 to 4500 range maybe less because of broken plastics although blade may equalize that

mmmm, so you think $3000 is good offer because i will have to fix plastics? went to two dealers yesterday and, without seeing it in person, they seemed to think $3200 - $3500 range......

Well if he's been letting you use it for free this long it's kinda shitty of you to lowball the guy too...

Didn't you say that YOU bought the blade for it?

If so, probably shouldn't factor that into the price. It's already yours.

I wasn't trying to add commentary. I was trying to clarify that you bought the plow, and point it out to others who were using the value of the plow to justify their prices.
