i just bought an 04 rev 800 and i was just wondering what the normal amount of oil used is just so i know if its burning to much or viceversa. thankyou

Buddy had and 03 800 used 3/4 tank of oil per day of riding. It had a motor from an '04 in it.

My '04 summit uses roughly 1/2 a tank per long day of riding. I was told by a friend who was quite familiar w/ these machines that was average but I should also mix a little into my fuel just in case (oil is cheap next to a blown engine).

Don't go riding with anyone who owns an E-tec. Their fuel and oil consumption (or lack thereof) next to yours will make you cry.

My 04 rev used half tank oil per tank of fuel as well.

Yep its good if it uses 2 litres of oil to 40-50 gas. Doesn't hurt one bit.
