Sled was gutless like running on one cylinder. Had to replace one plug cap as it was busted inside.

Put new plugs in aswell. Next day rode about 10km and motor blew. Found one plug super loose. Coolant on top of head and she's seized now.

Any thoughts on this? This is the second motor, about 1600km on it.

Just blew my 800 HO last week, found the carb boot had a small rip in it on the cylinder that blew. Now to try and just find some cheap parts...

I'm heading back to bc in a week. Going to tear it down and post pics, then go from there. Never done it before, so looking forward to the learning experience. Any tips/experiences is greatly appreciated.

Wow that completely grenaded. Check carbs and intake boots. Other piston looks like it was burning good. Coolant may have leaked out past rubber seal causing that cylinder to run hot. The pitted edges around the piston shows that the piston was detonating for a while. this is the result of to hot a burn in most cases. Hope the rebuild goes well!!!!

the pitting on the edges of the piston was probably caused by all the piston debris that he ran through the cylinder and out into the y pipe. :D The same damage can be seen on the head as well as all the pieces that he collected in the y-pipe, so not likely detonation.

if it's an ho motor it shouldn't have the seal between the 2 bearings on the pto side that was only 2001 and 2 after 2002 no seal between bearings is it possible you can take a picture of the cylinders on the outside intake then we can see if the cylinders are ho or not
