Wow! Things must have really gone backwards after I went to bed. Was no problems really up to then?

I would not be surprised if there where some stranded sleds this weekend around here, i never seen so many stuck sled in a long time. Snowmobile jack sales might be brisk.

With the amount of snow we were in on frisby and boulder I could easily see someone ending up in a creek bed and not being able to get out, especially if they dont have much experience. I heard of search and rescue getting called out a couple times over the past week we were there.

If your looking for old info that has been deleted from the web, just enter the old web page address and do a Google search. When the results come up there is a little down facing triangle at the end of the second line...click on it and it will bring up the Cached page. If the Web crawling machine has taken and image before the web page has been deleted or edited, you will be able to see the old info. I'm sure there are more sopisticated ways to track old web pages...just to lazy to look for them.

In the case of this particular web page, posts 4 thru 10 were deleted before the web crawling machine got to it. My post just mentioned that I didn't think you could get an XM stuck...don't imagine that had anything to do with it.

So here it goes again.
This past Saturday am I headed up Frisby around 9am. Got to the 3rd steel marker and headed west into a small playzone. Weather was rather foggy as it limited travel. Dropped down a couple benches for some amazing descents in 3++ foot of freshy.
Came to a small meadow an proceeded to climb back out. Got up some speed in the poor vis and thought to myself....."don't hit that rock" As I get closer its not a rock but a set of XM handlebars! Rode around it a couple times to make a stop pad, snapped a pic or 2 and off I went building my "run in" for my Ascent out of this zone. Thought to myself "must have been heck of a walk for someone". Yelled out just to make sure nobody around.
Worked the hill which is rather small (but in 3-4' of Fresh it can be a bugger with the limited vis I had)until I had leapfrogged enough to get a solid run in. As I was coming down one last time, I noticed another sled 50 yards away in the FOG. Rode over to it as well ...A twin XM without rider. Parked near a makeshift overnight Camp. Smoke still billowing out of the Treewell they must have spent the night in. Appeared they just got "too stuck" and decided to spend the night. Helicopter evacuation an hour or so earlier?
Grabbed a couple pics and ripped back to my riding group.
Anyone know if they were injured or not?
Don't drop zones unless you are prepared for some winter camping;)
Glad they were safe in the end.

Cheers
RS
