Never did get it fixed. Must of bought a couple new recoils and rebuilt them each a couple times. Pulling of the clutch works great, but sucks when your on the side of a mountain or the sled is -20. My solution was buying a cat and getting electric start. Havnt pull started a sled now for 2 years and theres no way im going back.

05 or 06 1000RT.Tex is right, this fit my Rev and fixed all my problems. Not to sure about the ZX though, you may want to bring an old one in to match up the bolt holes.

I had the same problem with my 01 Summit. I was also having clutch issues and my motor would blow pistons every 4-500 miles. Well after the 3rd rebuild we sent out the crank to be tested. I was out just enough to cause enough vibration that I would melt recoils and screw up my clutches. Replaced the crank and never had another issue with it. Hope that isn't your issue.

So it turns out it is a crappy aftermarket recoil, the brand is SPI. The recoil does not disengage all the time.

They told me that they have been having this problem for almost 2 years now.

Why in the hell would they continue to sell these garbage if there is a known defect
